Northern Arizona basketball might be adding one of the best players in the country ahead of the 2023/24 season. Not really, but the Lumberjacks can dream.
North Carolina star Armando Bacot, who announced his return to the Tar Heels as a fifth-year senior earlier this offseason, joked that he wants to play in the Big Sky after getting a glimpse of NAU’s facilities. They’re nicer than what he has on the ‘Blue Blood’ level of college basketball in Chapel Hill, apparently.

The Yankees will be without Aaron Judge for the foreseeable future after placing the superstar outfielder on the 10-day injured list less than a week after he suffered a hip injury against the Twins.
New York (15–14) announced the move on Monday ahead of its series opener against the Guardians, which would’ve been Judge’s fourth-consecutive missed game. The reigning AL MVP had not played since exiting mid-game against the Rangers on Thursday due to a right hip strain he sustained on an awkward slide during the Yankee’s series finale against the Twins the night prior.

Few rivalries run as deep as the one between Harvard and Yale. Separated by 134 miles, the two Ivy League schools are amongst the oldest in the country, having both been founded before 1702.
To say that the bad blood runs deep would be an understatement, especially in college lacrosse. The Bulldogs and Crimson have played 104 times over the last decade and a half, plus.

This rivalry in lacrosse dates back to the 1870s. The rivalry is older and longer than most other schools have been in existence.

Grizzlies star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. shared a somewhat cryptic message on Twitter on Monday, expressing his gratitude for the city of Memphis a couple of days after the team’s playoff exit.
“Memphis I’m forever grateful,” wrote Jackson on the social media platform.
While it’s entirely possible Jackson was simply conveying his gratefulness to the franchise he’s played his entire career in, many Grizzlies fans took his message to mean something else entirely.

Fashion can be subjective but this is horrid.
Philadelphia 76ers fans have a reason for concern before the start of the Eastern Conference semifinals between Philly and the Boston Celtics after James Harden pulled up to TD Garden in one of the worst outfits of all time.
Putting a streetwear twist on the Canadian tuxedo, Harden wore a furry blue outfit that appeared tailored for Shaquille O’Neal.

The Big 12 conference is heading South of the border to play basketball and football. Expanding its reach inside the states has been a top priority for Commissioner Brett Yormark, but now he’s ready to play in Mexico.
According to a report from the Houston Chronicle, the conference has plans on playing in Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico. The commissioner was in Mexico City last week to look at potential sites for basketball and football games. This move would be huge for the Big 12 if they can pull it off, considering the new television deal they have negotiated as well.

Donald Trump is at the center of a breakup between Lil Wayne and Jalen Hurts.
According to Skip Bayless, Hurts and his agent Nicole Lynn left Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports Agency over a photo Wayne took with Trump.
Specifically, Wayne met with Trump in 2020 to discuss a $500 billion package to “uplift black communities.” The initiative was known as the “Platinum Plan.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — As LeBron James and Stephen Curry prepare to renew a longstanding rivalry, Lakers coach Darvin Ham emphasized Wednesday just how special that rivalry is.
“It’s the best rivalry of this generation,” Ham said. “LeBron, what he was able to do, [going] to [eight] straight Finals and obviously Steph and those guys, what they were able to do with those four championships. That’s the rivalry. Rivalry of the generations, particularly those two players.

The 76ers officially ruled center Joel Embiid for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals vs. the Celtics Monday night, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. The team is still optimistic that Embiid can play during Game 2 of the series on Wednesday.
Embiid suffered a knee injury during Philadelphia’s first-round series vs. the Nets more than a week ago. The center didn’t play in the team’s series-clinching Game 4 win vs. Brooklyn, and last played in a game during Game 3 on April 20.
This year, Embiid led the league in scoring for the second straight season, totaling 33.
