The NFL draft is one of the most important days of the calendar for both players and their agents.
And one agent allegedly had a brilliant plan to ensure that his players received preferential treatment in the draft.
According to ESPN, the NFL Players Association is investigating agent David Canter for his conduct during around last month’s draft.
What did Canter allegedly do to justify an investigation?
Well according to the report, Canter, who is a longtime agent and GSE Worldwide’s head of football, offered executives vacations at his family’s properties.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins accomplished a rare feat Friday night.
Mullins, who in 2021 contributed nearly 6 WAR during a 30 homer, 30 steal season, hit for the cycle against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Mullins roped a single to right field in the third inning, before crushing a triple into the right center field gap in the fifth.
In the seventh, Mullins pulled a double down the right field line, before crushing an eighth inning homer to complete the cycle.

Longtime NFL agent David Canter is currently under investigation by the NFL Players Association following accusations that he engaged in a “form of bribery” during the NFL draft in April, ESPN’s Brooke Pryor reported Friday.
The NFLPA reportedly launched the probe after learning Canter allegedly offered access to “vacation properties” that he co-owns with his wife to several teams in exchange for drafting one of his clients, per Pryor.

Naomi Osaka cleared the air for those doubting her tennis career as she prepares to welcome her first child into the world with her boyfriend and rapper Cordae.
The four-time Grand Slam champion announced in January that she would miss the remainder of the 2023 season because of her pregnancy with the expectation to return for the ’24 Australian Open. On Friday evening, the 25-year-old tweeted her thoughts about the latest criticism from those who have taken interest in her tennis career since revealing she was pregnant.

At a time where the Knicks need all hands on deck to keep their season alive, guard Josh Hart nearly missed Friday’s pivotal Game 6 against the Heat in Miami, albeit for a very important personal reason.
Hart, who’s played a pivotal role for New York this postseason, received thrilling news on Friday that he is now a first-time father after his wife Shannon gave birth to twin boys around 2:30 p.m. ET, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

Panthers head coach Frank Reich came away from Friday’s team rookie minicamp highly impressed by quarterback Bryce Young, who practiced with the team for the first time since he was selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft last month.
“Bryce made a great impression, mentally and physically, looking the part in every way,” Reich told reporters. “He threw the ball exceedingly well and you could tell he was in a good space mentally and really had a firm grasp on everything we asked.

The Vikings have reportedly agreed to trade pass rusher Za’Darius Smith to the Browns, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.
Smith will earn a guaranteed $11.75 million in the 2023 season after his contract was restructured. He will then become a free agent in March ’24.
The news of Smith’s trade does not come as a surprise.
In March, the 30-year-old informed Minnesota that he wanted to be released from the NFC North team. However, at the time, the Vikings had no intent to release him, per Rapoport.
