COLUMBUS, Ohio – There was nothing about the first round of the college football playoff that was exciting, except the fact that we got to see four games take place on campuses around the sport.
I don’t think the committee thought that the four games that took place over the past two days would end up with games that ended in blowouts. But, at the end of the day, the better teams won, just like you normally see in the NCAA basketball tournament. The higher seeds were just better.

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is dealing with an ongoing wrist issue. We break down his injury status and the fantasy football impact in Week 16.
Game day update: Tyreek Hill is expected to play on Sunday against the 49ers, per Adam Schefter.

The Miami Dolphins head into a critical Week 16 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, and they’ll likely be shorthanded on offense. The team is not expecting to have wide receiver Jaylen Waddle available, and his running mate Tyreek Hill is questionable for the game.

COLUMBUS – You could call that – a 42-17 whipping of Tennessee – the Ryan Day ‘Revival’ for Ohio State on Saturday night, whether Buckeye fans care to admit it or not.
Honesty, they could not matter less to Ryan Day, even though he won’t say that part out loud.
Amidst a sea of orange inside the ‘Shoe’, in what felt more like a neurtral site game, the Buckeyes are moving onto the next round of the college football playoff, thanks to a dominating first quarter that propelled this team to the emphatic win.

It’s getting to the point where you’ve just got to feel bad for the Buffalo Sabres.
Going into Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins, the Sabres had lost 12 straight games.
Things have been so bad over that stretch that team owner Terry Pegula met with the team, and oddly enough, reportedly told them not to expect any big changes.
Well, maybe he’s got a point, because right now this team just seems destined to lose hockey games, especially when you see how they gave up the winning goal on Saturday.
