Min Woo Lee has an excellent chance to win on the PGA Tour for the first time at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
Two weeks ago at The Players Championship, Min Woo Lee held a share of the 36-hole lead alongside Akshay Bhatia.
But Lee woke up on that sunny — albeit breezy — Saturday in Northeast Florida not feeling like himself. You could sense that from his performance too. The young and entertaining Aussie did not have his best stuff with him, failing to find the fairway more often than not.

As the 49ers’ 2024 season wound down, defensive end Nick Bosa tried to find a bright side to missing the playoffs.
Bosa said he was looking forward to having a full offseason after seeing the previous three truncated by the team’s deep postseason runs. They made it to at least the NFC title game each year and Bosa said it was “definitely a grind” to miss out on having more time off.
Quarterback Brock Purdy likely agrees with Bosa’s feelings about a longer offseason.

The salary cap has been a hot topic for the Atlanta Falcons all offseason. Flirting near the bottom of the league in terms of total cap space, the team did make some moves to get into a better cap position to sign free agents and better position themselves for the upcoming 2025 NFL draft.
One of the team’s controversial yet necessary moves was releasing veteran Grady Jarrett at the start of free agency. While this freed up over $16 million in cap space, the Falcons didn’t stop there.

Manchester City star Erling Haaland had an up-and-down day, and it finished prematurely in an up-and-down way with an injury at the Vitality Stadium.
Haaland scored City’s second-half equalizer, but that came after the Norwegian had a penalty saved and missed two other chances to open the scoring for the Premier League champions.
He then suffered a painful looking injury when chasing a loose ball. Haaland beat Bournemouth’s James Cook to it but then felt the falling Cook’s weight crash down on the back of his heel.

BOURNEMOUTH, England (AP) — Erling Haaland was substituted with a left ankle injury in the 60th minute of Manchester City’s FA Cup quarterfinal match against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Norway striker hurt the ankle after Bournemouth right back Lewis Cook landed awkwardly on him in a 56th-minute tackle.
Haaland received treatment, came back on, but soon fell to the ground in pain and had to be substituted.
The score was 1-1, with Haaland having scored City’s equalizer after missing a penalty in the first half.

There will be no back-to-back runs to the Final Four for the Alabama Crimson Tide, who fell 85-65 to the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils in the East Region final of the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Saturday night at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Duke (35-3 overall) cut down the nets after getting 21 points from Kon Knueppel, 17 from Tyrese Proctor and 16 from freshman star Cooper Flagg in a resounding victory over the Crimson Tide (28-9) in the Elite Eight. The Blue Devils led from start to finish, and their 20-point lead as the final buzzer sounded was their largest of the game.

Dansby Swanson may be off to a slow start at the plate to begin the new MLB season, but the shortstop is making up for it in the field, and doing so in style.
Swanson’s Chicago Cubs took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the 9th inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night, and while it looked as if they would cruise to victory, nothing came easy in the final frame.
Veteran closer Ryan Pressly gave up a single to Josh Naylor to start the inning before throwing a pitch Eugenio Suarez left the yard with to make it a 4-3 game without an out on the board.

Everyone is talking about Florida Gators star senior guard Walter Clayton Jr., and for good reason. But there’s another guy who deserves as much, if not more, credit than Clayton: head coach Todd Golden.
Look, Clayton was sensational. He scored 30 points in the team’s 82-77 Elite Eight win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders and made two huge three-pointers in the final two minutes of the game, including the one that gave Florida the lead for good.
Despite Clayton struggling early in the game, Golden leaned on his star late.

Georgetown (Tx.) 2026 running back Jett Walker made the trek to West Virginia to get an up close look at the football program.
And Walker left campus with a strong impression.
“I thought the visit was great. What stood out was what coach (Rich) Rodriguez is building in Morgantown,” he said.

The Mountaineers initially extended a scholarship offer to Walker in February and since that time he has been able to get to know not only Rodriguez, but running backs coach Larry Porter better.

BERLIN (AP) — Andrej Ilić scored what proved to be the winner for Union Berlin to boost its Bundesliga survival hopes with a 2-1 win in Freiburg on Sunday.
Freiburg’s loss after seven games without defeat prevented it from getting closer to the Champions League qualification places. Freiburg remained three points behind fourth-placed Mainz ahead of Mainz’ game later at Borussia Dortmund. Only the top four qualify for Europe’s top competition.
Union came from behind as it moved eight points clear of Heidenheim in the relegation playoff spot.
