Jorge Masvidal isn’t afraid to praise America and God very publicly.
Masvidal retired after his final bout at UFC 287, and he spent his final moments in the octagon praising Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump.
“We’ve also got the greatest governor of all time here in Florida. Let’s keep Florida free, a red state,” Masvidal declared to the crowd in Miami earlier in April after also praising Donald Trump, who was in attendance.
Now, he’s continuing to make clear he has nothing but love for the country that welcomed his father with open arms.

The Athletics’ decision to buy land near the Las Vegas Strip for a potential move from Oakland has drawn all kinds of criticism across the sports industry. Even Raiders owner Mark Davis, who oversaw that team’s own move from the Bay Area to Las Vegas, disagreed with the decision.
The latest to criticize Oakland’s potential relocation is hall of famer Reggie Jackson, who played for the A’s from 1968 to ’75. The former outfielder believes city officials should’ve tried harder to retain the MLB franchise, considering the municipality’s recent track record.

Third-ranked Virginia lacrosse moved to 9-3 with a four-goal win over No. 13 Syracuse on Saturday and did so while turning back the clock. As one of the most historic programs in the sport, there is a lot of inspiration to be drawn from the past.
That history was on full display as the Hoos hosted the Orange while wearing some slick throwback kits.

They’re simple, clean and classic.

The Blue Jays and Yankees seemingly have amped up their rivalry in recent years as the two sides battle for positioning in the AL East. That friction has been heightened by Toronto starter Alek Manoah, who openly has labeled New York ace Gerrit Cole as the biggest cheater in baseball history.
On Saturday, Cole and Manoah faced off in the Bronx, and Manoah appeared to try to get into Cole’s head by walking back to the dugout from the bullpen late, which delayed the start of the game.

Taking a look at the top 10 interior offensive linemen in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Interior offensive line might be the least flashy position group in football. Granted, guards and centers are very much important for an offensive line’s success as a unit. They do a lot of the dirty work up the middle, clashing with massive nose tackles and clearing out running lanes in between the tackles.

On Friday, TMZ reported that a Miami-Dade County judge ordered law enforcement to arrest former NFL star Antonio Brown after Brown allegedly failed to pay child support. The warrant for Brown’s arrest was reportedly issued on April 14 in response to Brown avoiding payments to Wiltrice Jackson.
Now Brown, who recently became the co-owner of the Albany Empire in the National Arena League, tells AJ Pankowski of WGRB in Albany that he has cleared up his outstanding debts.

Former MLS striker Patryk Klimala denies celebrating a goal with the Nazi salute. The 24-year-old Poland-native is currently playing soccer overseas in Israel and finds himself in hot water.
Klimala, who previously spent two years with Celtic and two years with the New York Red Bulls, joined the Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva on a free transfer back in February. Saturday’s game against Hapoel Jerusalem marked his 11th appearance of the season and his third-straight game with a goal.
After his club went up 1-0 in the 19th minute, Klimala found the net in the 54th to go up 2-0.

Alabama’s top two quarterbacks each showed flashes of brilliance, but also made killer mistakes at the spring game in front of 58,710 at Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday.
Sophomore Jalen Milroe threw a 27-yard strike on a dime betweeen two defenders that wide receiver Kendrick Law caught. Redshirt freshman Ty Simpson completed a 57-yard bomb to wide receiver Jermaine Burton.
Milroe also threw two interceptions with one that didn’t appear to have an intended receiver. Simpson also threw an interception.

Pathetic.
There’s no other word for the Grizzlies’ first-quarter effort against the Lakers on Saturday. Memphis came out of the gates slower than a sloth in quicksand, scoring an anemic nine points—nine points!—in the opening 12 minutes of its eventual 111–101, Game 3 loss to the Lakers. The final score was frankly closer than the actual game, and the Grizz now trail 2–1 in the first-round series. And after constant trash talking of their opponent, the Grizzlies should be embarrassed by the wire-to-wire beatdown they took in Game 3.
