The sun may be setting on Aaron Rodgers’ mesmerizing career, and Sunday could signal the final game of his NFL journey.
Rodgers and the New York Jets welcome the Miami Dolphins for a season-finale clash at MetLife Stadium.
With free agency and a potential Jets rebuild this offseason, Aaron Rodgers is aware that Sunday’s game against the injured Fins could be his swan song, at least in New York.
(Could Aaron Rodgers be the next NFL great to retire?)
“Yeah, of course,” Rodgers said.

One of the big questions heading into Week 18 of the NFL season was whether the Philadelphia Eagles, who have already clinched the No. 2 seed in the NFC, would play star running back Saquon Barkley to allow him to go for the single-season rushing record.
Of course, playing Barkley in what is, essentially, a meaningless game for the Eagles, presents some risk. And the Philadelphia coaching staff made the decision that the risk wasn’t worth it.
Barkley reached the 2,000-yard mark for rushing yards in Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.

ATLANTA – The first five games of the 12-team College Football Playoff – all played in 2024 – provided as much intrigue as a mid-afternoon nap. Once the calendar switched to 2025, though, the script flipped in a big way.
Texas defensive back Andrew Mukuba picked off Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt in the bottom half of the second overtime period to ice away a 39-31 win in the Peach Bowl national quarterfinal in an instant classic.

After the terrorist attack that rocked the city of New Orleans on Wednesday morning, officials are still working on details surrounding the tragic event. Even though it pales in comparison to the loss of life and injuries along Bourbon Street, the Sugar Bowl was postponed this afternoon after it was scheduled to kickoff at 8:45 E.T. tonight.
Now, after playoff officials, Georgia, Notre Dame and Sugar Bowl representatives met with law enforcement on when it would be safe for the game to be played, all sides have come to an agreement on when the game will start.

The first five games of the newly expanded College Football Playoff were quite anticlimactic, with all of them ending in favorites winning by double-digits. It appeared that the Peach Bowl, the CFP quarterfinal between Texas and Arizona State, was headed for the same fate.
The Longhorns entered the game as 13-point favorites and quickly established dominance over a Sun Devils team that many considered inferior. Texas raced out to a 17-3 lead that it took into halftime.
Arizona State started a comeback in the third quarter, cutting into the deficit with a safety and a field goal.
