The Bengals had no choice but to pay Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but the way it was handled with their own fault.
It took almost two years and moments of public frustration from almost everyone involved, the Bengals finally got WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins paid. Chase at $40.25 million is the highest paid non-QB in NFL history, while Higgins at $28.75 million makes him the highest paid WR2 in the NFL.

Breaking down the savviest moves in NFL free agency.
Super Bowl winners aren’t based entirely on superstars; they’re created by filling all the holes on their rosters intelligently and with the right money allotted to the right talent.

TOKYO — The Major League Baseball season kicks off at the Tokyo Dome when Shohei Ohtani and the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers face the Chicago Cubs.
It’s the first of a two-game series and features five Japanese players. Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and rookie Roki Sasaki pitch for the Dodgers while the Cubs have outfielder Seiya Suzuki and left-handed pitcher Shota Imanaga.
The two MLB teams have been in Tokyo for several days, playing exhibition games against two Japanese teams — the Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants.

The Cincinnati Bengals were never in the sweepstakes for free-agent guard Teven Jenkins, it seems.
While one report suggested the Bengals had expressed interest in Jenkins, The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. added his own reporting on Monday to the topic:
“Teven Jenkins is a name out there in recent days, but was never a realistic option for the Bengals. There’s a reason the former Bears guard wasn’t scooped up early in free agency and reportedly is taking a visit to Seattle on Monday in a league where players rarely take visits anymore.
