Another Midsummer Classic is in the books, and the American League is back to dominating the All-Star Game.
The American League is once again the MLB All-Star champion after temporarily falling off the wagon last year to surrender an unexpected loss to the National League.
A loss in 2023 was redeemed with a 5-3 AL win in the 2024 All-Star Game, which featured plenty of star power and ugly uniforms, the latter of which has been a running joke for MLB this year.
Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes and Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani were among the night’s biggest names.

A Sock, Shohei, Skenes, Soto, and so, so much Texas.
Major League Baseball held its 94th All-Star Game on Tuesday night in Texas, the first to be hosted by the Rangers since 1995. That particular Midsummer Classic featured some of the most dangerous hitters of the ‘90s, like Barry Bonds, Frank Thomas, Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripken Jr., and Mike Piazza. The MVP, however, turned out to be little-known Marlins outfielder Jeff Conine, who hit the go-ahead homer in the eighth.
The All-Star Game has a funny way of churning out stories like that.

The 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star Game experience has been a massive success…if you want to showcase the game’s best players.
Pittsburgh Pirates superstar rookie Paul Skenes started the game for the National League, the first time a rookie has started the All-Star Game.
On the game’s biggest regular season stage, Skenes worked a clean inning, retiring New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge to retire the side.
Skenes allowed just a walk to Juan Soto before departing the game after one inning.
