Mar. 17—AMES — Five top-five finishes propelled the PCM boys track and field team to an eighth-place team finish in the Class 2A portion of the IATC Indoor Championships at Iowa State University on Thursday.
The Mustangs entered nine events in the meet and nearly half of them ended up on the podium. The top six finishers in each event earn medals.
The Mustang girls were not as busy overall, but PCM put two of its four events into the top 10. The 4×800 relay scored a podium finish in fifth.
