LeBron James famously made headlines years ago with his “Decision,” and on Wednesday he tried doing the same thing with “The Conversation.”
The future Hall of Famer, who has an ego the size of the galaxy, appeared on Wednesday’s The Pat McAfee Show where he talked about his recent spat with the media and most notably Stephen A. Smith. James cursed out Smith for his comments regarding LeBron and his son Bronny.

Four reasons why we might be overreacting to no Cinderella teams advancing to the Sweet 16.
Every year there’s a storyline that develops from the first week of the NCAA tournament that dominates the national sports conversation for those three days that separate the second round and the Sweet 16. Typically, play resumes on Thursday, the focus returns to the court, and the “big story” from the week before morphs into endless discussions about the Final Four before it disappears forever.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Red Bull is looking foolish thanks to its head-scratching driver decisions.
Over the offseason, the team decided to move on from race-winner Sergio Perez. Now, Checo is a great driver, but he struggled in a big way, and the team decided it needed a driver who could reliably keep up with world champ Max Verstappen or, at a minimum, score on most weekends.
Controversially, the team decided to go with Liam Lawson, an impressive driver who had only appeared in 11 Grand Prix, over Racing Bulls driver Yuki Tsunoda, who has competed in four full seasons.

This time last year, many in the baseball industry knew who Jackson Merrill was. Having been selected in the first round of the 2021 MLB Draft, the then-20-year-old was considered a top prospect and a rising star to keep an eye on. Even so, the player himself wasn’t sure when or even if he’d get his opportunity to break out.
But sometimes a team need creates an individual opportunity, and that’s what developed last spring in front of the former first-round pick.

It is the 79th minute of the third Test in Sydney, and the British and Irish Lions are trailing by two points in the series decider against Australia. The Lions have just been awarded a penalty, from the right-hand touchline, to win their first series in 12 years, and only their fourth since the tour of South Africa in 1974.

Former University of Wisconsin star J.J. Watt will move into the role of NFL TV game analyst on CBS, pairing with play-by-play virtuoso Ian Eagle as part of the network’s No. 2 broadcasting team this fall, Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported Wednesday.
Eagle’s former partner, Charles Davis, will move to college games as a replacement for retiring Gary Danielson. Though Davis won’t take over until 2026, Watt will assume the role in 2025.

Exciting news for Man Utd as INEOS place teenage ‘diamond’ on top of summer shortlist

Manchester United are hellbent on signing Sunderland teenager Chris Rigg this summer following his exploits in the Championship.
Alongside fellow youngster Jobe Bellingham, the 17-year-old has been leading the Black Cats’ promotion push. Despite his tender age, the central midfielder has already cemented himself as a pillar in the middle of the park, producing four goals and one assist in his 34 appearances in the Championship.

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball coach Darian DeVries spent countless hours on the phone over the last week laying the foundation for what his staff and roster will look for the 2025-26 season.
In a sit down interview Wednesday, DeVries confirmed that his staff will be similar in size to the one he had at West Virginia last year that included a five assistants including an associate head coach and multiple staffers. He anticipates everything will “come together pretty quickly,” but IU will likely hold off on any official announcements until the staff is completed.

The Chesapeake Baysox made quite a splash last week with their new alternate logo.
It’s not unusual for Minor League Baseball teams to adopt alternate “identities” during some games throughout the season — just for fun and as a gimmick to sell a bunch of merchandise. So on Friday, the Baltimore Orioles’ Double-A affiliate introduced theirs for the 2025 season: the Oyster Catchers.
The new logo features a baseball glove holding an oyster with a tiny baseball as the “pearl” inside.

Masters week will be upon us in less than two weeks, and balls will be in the air in the opening round of the first major of the year in just 15 days. At this point, anyone lucky enough to have won tickets in the yearly lottery or snag a ticket elsewhere has made travel arrangements and is just counting down the hours until their feet will be on the grass inside the gates of Augusta National.
Maybe you’re a late planner and still thinking about attending the tournament.
