Everybody is talking about the insanity of Carlos Correa’s offseason, but nobody is talking about Lewin Díaz. While that makes a lot of sense, considering the weight of their two names, the latter deserves proper recognition for being the ultimate trooper.
Correa, a two-time MLB All-Star, opted out of the final two years of his contract with the Twins. He later agreed to a deal with the Giants, but issues with his physical caused it to fall through. The same thing happened with the Mets.
In the end, the 28-year-old shortstop resigned with Minnesota.

The quarterback hasn’t played since Week 13 when he suffered a sprained knee ligament.
After missing another practice on Thursday ahead of the Ravens’ wild-card matchup against the Bengals on Sunday night, Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson shared an update on his injured knee.
His availability for Sunday is still unknown as the Ravens haven’t made anything official, but Jackson’s tweet makes it sound as if he won’t be healthy enough to play.
“Thank you everyone for your support and concerns regarding my injuries,” Jackson’s tweet read.

Micah Parsons smells blood in the water with Tom Brady and the floundering Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the superstar Cowboys’ linebacker wants to put them out of their misery.
Parsons and the Cowboys head to Tampa on Monday night to cap the NFL’s ‘Super Wild Card Weekend,’ and are favored to knock Brady and the Bucs out of the postseason.
On one hand, the Cowboys are clearly the better team. The Bucs have STUNK this season and would be playing golf this weekend if they were in any other division.
However, on the other hand … it’s Tom Brady.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has not played since Week 13
The Baltimore Ravens have been without starting quarterback Lamar Jackson since he suffered a knee injury back in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos. Now, with a Wild Card game against the Cincinnati Bengals looming this weekend, there are fears that the QB might not be back for the third meeting between the two AFC North rivals.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Jackson faces an “uphill” battle to play this weekend.
