2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen will compete in his second career NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday. Going into it, he discussed the differences between driving in F1 and wheeling around in a stock car.
Raikkonen made his Cup Series debut last season at Watkins Glen and will look to take the checkered flag for the first time. This time he’s doing it at Circuit of the Americas, a track he’s more than familiar with from his days in F1.
That said, a lot of what he knows may not translate to the Cup Series.
He may have won Saturday’s race… but lost a truck.
NASCAR truck driver Zane Smith set victory lane on fire, literally.
Following his victory on Saturday in the NASCAR Truck Series race at the Circuit of the Americas, Smith simply celebrated the way most drivers do—by doing a burnout. Unfortunately for Smith and his team, the celebration resulted in his truck catching fire.
“Besides catching on fire in victory, that was a first for me,” Smith told Fox Sports after the race.
Derek Wolfe is built differently than the rest of us. I’m not sure what you do in your free time, but I’d bet a considerable sum of money that hunting then eating a mountain lion that was terrorizing a Colorado neighborhood isn’t on the list.
For Wolfe — an ex-NFL linebacker — it is. But he was just as differently built during his playing days as he is since he decided to hang up his cleats.
Take, for instance, this little recipe that Wolfe used to use to put himself in what he called “rage mode.
Can. No.
The veteran NFL rules analyst is the league’s head of officiating and had a moment he’d likely rather have back on Saturday.
Most football fans know Dean Blandino first and foremost as the omnipresent rules analyst on Fox’s pro and college football coverage.
Blandino, however, has a different role in the offseason. The former NFL vice president of officiating serves as the head of officiating for the XFL, helping shape a rules package quite different from the NFL’s in some respects.
Because the XFL is so TV-friendly, Blandino is often forced to blend his two roles.
Fourth-seeded UCLA hung around for a while before the top-seeded Gamecocks got defensive and took control. They’ll play Maryland in the Elite Eight.
LOUISVILLE- It’s not everyday we get a brother vs. brother matchup in the NCAA Tournament, but Sunday provides that opportunity. Arthur Kaluma and Adam Seiko will square-off again, for the second straight year in March Madness.
After getting the better hand last season, San Diego State’s Adam Seiko will get another shot at beating his brother Arthur Kaluma, who is Creighton’s star forward. The two played each other last season in the NCAA Tournament, with Creighton winning 72-69.
Hide the fine china, mom, the boys are ready for another fight.
We’re in week — oh, who the hell knows at this point? — of Aaron Rodgers Watch ’23 with little to show for it. Still, Allen Lazard insists the deal will get done.
After plenty of chats, speculation, outright declarations, and sitting in the dark, Rodgers’ move to the Jets has yet to happen. Still. some of his favorite offensive weapons have already traded green and yellow for green and white.
One of those weapons is Lazard, TMZ Sports caught up with him as he sat in his car, and the recently-signed New York Jet insists Rodgers is headed to the Big Apple.
Lucas Herbert played his butt off in his Saturday match against Rory McIlroy, but still lost. No harm, no foul. Rory is on another planet right now, so it was always gonna be an uphill battle.
That being said, if you’re looking for some relatable golf content from a pro, our man Lucas did happen to give us that today.
He hit some excellent shots. This one, however, was a tough watch.

Lucas Herbert battles Rory McIlroy and the water
Incredible. So bad, and so, so relatable.
