LeBron James is calling out the NBA media for running with loose-lipped reports on his return from a foot injury.
The 38-year-old Lakers star, who’s been sidelined since February, hit Twitter hours after he was reportedly re-evaluated for the injury.
Word then began to spread that James may be back for the Lakers as soon as Apr. 4’s game against the Utah Jazz.

James openly called out outlets, which undoubtedly includes ESPN and The Athletic, for forecasting his return without any real insight from LBJ’s camp.

It’s getting pretty expensive to enjoy America’s pastime. But at least the New York Mets are making an effort.
The Mets announced Thursday they are working on a $15 price point ticket plan for college students.
The idea is to “really go after a group that has been priced out of Major League Baseball consistently.”

Sixteen weeks after reaching the World Cup’s round of 16 and facing the mighty Netherlands, a three-time finalist ranked eighth by FIFA, the U.S. men’s national team will take the field in tiny Grenada (population: 125,000) for a match against the 173rd-ranked Spice Boyz.
That’s what it means to be one of Concacaf’s heavy hitters. Sometimes you share the stage with giants, and sometimes you’ve got to mix it up with minnows.

There is something in golf known as “The Jordan Spieth Experience.” It’s hard to really describe. But, you know it when you see it. And boy did fans get to see it on the par-3 seventh hole at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play event.
On Wednesday, Spieth defeated Mackenzie Hughes pretty handily, 4&3. But Thursday’s match against Taylor Montgomery didn’t go nearly as smoothly. Like Spieth, Montgomery won his opening match on Wednesday against Shane Lowry.
Thursday’s match started poorly for Spieth as Montgomery captured the first hole with a birdie.

The NFL’s management council released a memo on Thursday informing teams across the league that a person named Ken Francis was attempting to persuade clubs to discuss potential negotiations for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

If you haven’t been watching the Women’s March Madness alongside The Big Dance, you’ve been missing out! This year’s tournament has been exhilarating, and viewership only continues to grow.
The 2022 women’s tournament averaged 634,000 viewers per game, which was a 16% increase over 2021. This year’s ratings are likely going to shatter that number. The passion and fanfare, coupled with massive upsets, made for a very exciting first weekend.
Virginia Tech’s fanbase showed out in full voice to spite the NCAA with its home-court advantage.

Petr Cech made a name for himself on the soccer pitch. Now, he’s on the verge of winning another championship, only this time it’ll be on the ice.
Cech spent 15 seasons in the English Premier League playing for both Chelsea and Arsenal, but when the now 40-year-old retired from pro soccer, he wasn’t done making saves.
Cech played hockey as a kid and he decided to pursue that after his soccer career was over. He signed with the Guildford Phoenix of the National Ice Hockey League 2 South. Guildford is an affiliate of the Guildford Flames who play in the Elite Ice Hockey League.

Beware of Ken Francis — an apparent scammer contacting NFL teams about Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson.
OK, there’s obviously more to the story. But what a WILD way to start our Thursday night!
Here’s the memo that was sent out to all 32 teams this afternoon regarding some random dude named Ken Francis cold-calling teams about the star QB.

Here’s the full memo from the NFL Management Council warning teams not to negotiate with a man named Ken Francis about Lamar Jackson.

The program announced that Dale Lindsey had retired earlier this week, but he had a different take on his departure.
On Tuesday, San Diego announced the retirement of longtime football coach Dale Lindsey, who had led the Toreros to seven conference titles in 10 years. In a statement, USD athletics director Bill McGillis wrote that Lindsey “will retire from USD as one of the greatest head coaches in our university’s history and one of the elite head coaches in college football.”
Given his many accomplishments, that last part is undeniably true.
