Washington’s football team has been stuck in an identity crisis since it bent the knee and ‘erased’ the Washington Redskins.
Calling the logo and NFL team name offensive to Native Americans, the Washington franchise willingly stepped out of its famed image to pursue a newer, more P.C. approach, which has gone terribly since dropping the “Redskins” in 2020. 
For 87 years, the franchise held an iconic image.
One Native American group, NAGA (Native American Guardians Association), is actively working to reinstate the Washington Redskins.

First baseman Pete Alonso and the New York Mets have come to terms, locking in the return of a fan-favorite in Flushing.
‘Polar Bear’ Pete agreed to a two-year, $54 million contract to stay with the Mets — including a $10 million signing bonus, according to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman.
The pool of suitors interested in Alonso may have also contributed to his decision to return on a friendly two-year contract.

New York Giants first-round pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux hates the Dallas Cowboys.
Thibs, a third-year edge rusher, appeared for Super Bowl media week and made a strong statement against the Cowboys: F*** ’em!
It also served as a long-awaited response to Dez Bryant, who’s been taking social media jabs at Thibodeaux and the failing New York Giants, long-time divisional rivals of Dallas.
“F**k the Cowboys,” Thibodeaux said, speaking with Infinity Sports Network, also joined by Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke.

The NBA trade deadline is upon us, sparking some big headlines out of the league, including Wednesday’s major news that the Miami Heat agreed to trade Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors, in exchange for former first-overall pick Andrew Wiggins and an upcoming first-round pick.

Normally, NBA locker rooms are open to reporters for a 45-minute window pregame, but on Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors raised alarm bells that they might have a deal imminent on the eve of the NBA trade deadline when they kicked all the reporters out so that Steve Kerr could address the team privately ahead of their matchup with the Utah Jazz.
