For the first time in two decades, an NBA All-Star Game will take place without LeBron James.
The most boring mid-season break in North American sports is taking place at the Chase Center in San Francisco tonight. Not many of the fans care, because it’s obvious that the players give minimal effort. Heck, it’s gotten so bad that the NBA is literally begging players to show some sign of effort in the game.
Don’t expect a lot of headlines to come from this game, it’s probably not going to be anything special.

Darrell Armstrong, a 10-year Dallas Mavericks assistant coach, was arrested early Saturday morning after reportedly hitting and threatening a woman with a firearm during a dispute.
According to WFAA, Armstrong (a 14-year NBA vet) was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Since his arrest, Armstrong has been suspended by the Mavericks.
Details from the scene noted that Armstrong had been drinking and trying to force his way into the victim’s apartment. Armstrong got on the phone and hit the woman in the face with his pistol.

Tiger Woods joined Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman in the broadcast booth and briefly discussed pro golf’s future.
LA JOLLA, Calif. — Tiger Woods has been busy behind the scenes, working alongside the PGA Tour to reshape the future of professional golf as they continue to negotiate with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), LIV Golf’s beneficiary.

The Genesis Invitational serves as “Tiger’s Tournament” hosted by arguably the greatest golfer in history, Tiger Woods. There was a lot of drama surrounding this year’s tournament, due to multiple tragic events.
First, the tournament had to be relocated from Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades, to Torrey Pines South, in San Diego, due to the devastating California wildfires that ravaged Southern California.
Then, Woods withdrew from the tournament earlier in the week due to the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, on February 4.

Åberg put together a masterful back-nine at Torrey Pines to win the first Signature Event of his career. Here are the full results and payouts.
LA JOLLA, Calif. — Ludvig Åberg came from behind to win the Genesis Invitational, the biggest victory of his career to date.
The Swedish phenom faced a three shot deficit to Maverick McNealy with six holes to play, but seemingly nothing ever phases him. Åberg rattled off three straight birdies on the 13th, 14th, and 15th holes, and then drained a 7-footer for birdie for the win on the par-5 18th.

Perhaps I’ve been too hard on radio host, excuse me, college basketball coach Doug Gottlieb. Gottlieb is in his first season coaching the Green Bay Phoenix, while still hosting a daily sports talk radio show, and things haven’t been going well.
Gottlieb and the Phoenix entered Sunday on a school-record 21-game losing streak, not having won since mid-November.
But the nightmare is over! The Phoenix stunned Wright State, who were 8.5-point favorites at Green Bay, with a 79-68 victory.
