When Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark scored her 3,650th point in her collegiate career on Wednesday night vs. Minnesota, she officially broke the scoring record for all of women’s college basketball history.
This milestone pushed her past Lynette Woodard’s record of 3,649 points. Woodard’s record was held before the NCAA established women’s basketball championships.
Clark now has the overall women’s college basketball scoring record, along with the NCAA women’s basketball record, the Big Ten women’s basketball record and Iowa’s program record.

The Chicago Bulls tried to execute a play that would result in an easy layup vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, but guard Jevon Carter‘s quick change of plans seemed to mess up the opportunity.
Carter dribbled the ball down the court, then tricked the Cavaliers defense and threw a slippery pass to center Nikola Vučević. While Vučević had the ball, Carter cut wide open to the basket, but after Vučević found him, Carter passed up the easy bucket, dishing the ball back out to Coby White.

Caleb Williams is widely presumed to be the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft based on his exceptional talent, awareness and playmaking ability. But if a new report is any indication, a team could easily be forgiven for passing him up and looking elsewhere because of the off-field situation around him.
The Athletic reported Wednesday on how Williams and those around him are handling the draft process, and it unsurprisingly sounds like a bit of a mess.

Shohei Ohtani wasn’t scheduled to play Wednesday, but he made the road trip to Surprise, Ariz., to catch the Los Angeles Dodgers battle the Texas Rangers for one reason in particular: His longtime friend and new Dodgers teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto was set to make his spring training debut.
In two innings of work, Yamamoto allowed one hit and no runs while registering three strikeouts, with 16 of his 19 pitches going for strikes. In other words, he was shoving.
Ohtani, however, wasn’t so convinced.

College baseball’s rules against excessive celebration have already stirred up some debate on social media early into this season after an incident that occurred during the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors’ season opener against the Ole Miss Rebels.
Hawai’i infielder Jordan Donahue was ejected by the home plate umpire during the eighth inning due to his celebratory antics after drawing a walk to load the bases during a 4–3 game.

Kansas City Chiefs super-fan, “ChiefsAholic,” hired a real-life Saul Goodman to lead his defense case against several charges stemming from robbing banks across several states. That is, Saul Goodman without the cunning ability to liberate his client … so just a guy well-versed in ‘mumbo jumbo.’
Xavier Babudar, known as the “ChiefsAholic” and for wearing a werewolf outfit, pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering, one count of transporting stolen property across state lines and one count of bank robbery this week.
