Caitlin Clark Cinema Paradiso continues Saturday in an afternoon matinee (3 p.m., ABC), but if it was on Pay-Per-View, it would likely make a killing.
Caitlin does not do truTV.
The iconic Iowa star has not been seen on a court for nearly two whole weeks since the Hawkeyes won the Big Ten Conference Tournament as she put up 34 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds in a 94-89 win over Nebraska before a sold-out Target Center crowd of 18,534 in Minneapolis.

Major League Baseball has officially launched an investigation into Shohei Ohtani’s alleged connection to his personal interpreter and close confidant Ippei Mizuhara’s involvement in an illegal sports gambling ring.
The move comes after what has been an absolutely crazy week that included Mizuhara changing his story, an accusation that more than $4.5 million was stolen from Ohtani and the IRS and other investigative agencies getting involved.

Guess who plays basketball again today? Oakland STUD Jack Gohlke, who became an overnight star Thursday after he put on one of the greatest shooting displays of all time in a win over Kentucky.
Now, back in the old days, these March Madness stars would have to wait weeks to really reap the rewards. Hell, they never really used to be able to reap them at all, because it was illegal.
But now, buddy, we live in the NIL era AND the social media era. That means your content will be rewarded handsomely, and almost instantly.
Jack Gohlke became an Instagram star after his big showing Thursday.

Will we ever see Johnny Manziel slinging the pigskin again? If it’s up to the new commissioner of the Arena Football League, that could be happening very soon.
Oh, you didn’t hear? The AFL is back, baby, and it kicks off on April 27. With opening night just over a month away, though, the league is still trying to recruit players to suit up and give this failed experiment another go!

Red Bull’s chances for another front row lockout took a big hit following qualifying in Melbourne
Red Bull’s dreams of a third-straight front row lockout took a substantial hit following qualifying at the Australian Grand Prix.
The team saw both drivers finish in the top three in qualifying. Max Verstappen held off an incredible performance from Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — To make it to the Sweet 16, Tennessee will once again face the school that decided Rick Barnes had peaked.
After 17 years as the head coach of the Texas Longhorns, the school decided after the 2014-2015 season that it was time to move on from the legendary head coach. At the same time, Tennessee was going through an awful transition of coaches that never put the Vols back in the spotlight like Bruce Pearl had done years before.

The Alabama basketball team rolled through College of Charleston on Friday thanks in large part to guard Mark Sears, but the CBS cameras found the true hero of the night.
And it was Mark’s ELECTRIC mother, Lameka.
There’s locked in, and then there’s what momma Sears was bringing to the table last night:
My goodness. I’d run for a brick wall for Lameka Sears. Unreal fire right there.
I was watching the end of this game at the bar last night, and I even noticed Lameka from across the way. This chick was locked in all night.

Here’s how the multi-bid conferences are performing in the 2024 men’s NCAA tournament
Conference bragging rights have become a big part of the NCAA tournament. People get strangely attached to how a preferred conference, or a hated conference, performs each March.
Seeing how each of the multi-bid leagues performs makes for interesting debates about the top conference in the sport after a long regular season and plenty of non-conference matchups.

Handing out some winners and losers from qualifying at the F1 Australian Grand Prix
“Finally that car looks dialed in when it matters most.”
Throughout the first two qualifying sessions, and after each of their first laps in Q3, it looked as if it was going to be Ferrari’s day. Carlos Sainz Jr. posted the first lap of Q3 and it was a quick one, a lap nearly matched by teammate Charles Leclerc. That gave Ferrari an early 1-2 atop the timing sheets in Q3, and the Tifosi were dreaming of a front-row lockout.
Someone forgot to tell Max Verstappen.
