California’s Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) has been at the center of controversy after a transgender athlete was permitted to compete on the girls’ cross-country team, and parents laid into the school board on Thursday night.
If that name rings a bell, it’s because this is the same district that punished students at Martin Luther King High School for wearing shirts that read “Save Women’s Sports,” saying they created a hostile environment and allegedly compared the shirts to wearing a swastika.

Katie Lue Samuelson, a former UConn standout who won a a national championship with Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, joins Unrivaled.
Unrivaled has announced Player No. 35, and it’s Indiana Fever guard Katie Lue Samuelson.
Samuelson, a five-year WNBA veteran, has averaged 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game since being drafted 4th overall by the Chicago Sky in 2019. She was a standout player at the University of Connecticut, where she averaged 16.7 points across four seasons and shot 41.5% from three.

What a week it has been for Hockey Guy-ism!
Earlier this week, Edmonton’s Zach Hyman got back on the ice after taking a deflected clap bomb to the nose, and now we’ve got Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators coming back from being a bloody mess to score an OT winner.
The Senators were on the road in Calgary to take on the Flames, and about halfway through the second period, Tkachuk caught a nasty high stick from Flames Mikael Backlund.
It was quick, but boy did that do some damage. Tkachuk was bleeding all over the place and actually ended up losing a tooth.

I’m 6’4″ tall, weigh 200 pounds soaking wet, and I’ve never played a down of organized football in my life. All that to say is, I have zero shot of ever becoming an offensive lineman in the NFL.
