New Orleans Saints coach Darren Rizzi lit up one of his players in Sunday’s win over the Giants for a mistake that cost New Orleans nearly nothing.
The Saints gave up a punt return touchdown to the Giants, which was negated by a holding call on New York.
Saints punter Matthew Hayball did a poor job of trying to stop the Giants punt returner.
Interim coach Rizzi still went all out, ripping Hayball on the sideline, which attracted the attention of star running back Alvin Kamara, who stepped in to keep Rizzi at bay.

Josh Allen is the first quarterback in league history to throw for three touchdowns and run in three touchdowns in a single game.
What does it say about a team that has a quarterback who in one game throws for 342 yards and three touchdowns and runs for 82 yards and another three touchdowns … and losses?
That’s the Buffalo Bills right now.
Allen on Sunday became the first NFL player to deliver six TDs in a game and split the number between passes and runs. And that makes him a bonafide MVP candidate because he was in the conversation before this game and probably leads the debate now.
And yet it was an unhappy, almost apologetic Allen that met with reporters afterward.
“Hate losing,” Allen said.
Week 14’s clash between the Rams and Bills can be considered the best game from Sunday.
In an 86-point contest full of highlights, Los Angeles Rams wideout Puka Nacua made a tremendous catch with a sideline toe-drag catch that was in the running for play of the game. Nacua’s catch against Buffalo may even land as a prime contender for best of the year, though Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Mike Williams made his own spectacular grab to challenge Puka.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford dropped a perfect pass to set up Nacua for the highlight.

The Eagles are officially headed to the playoffs.
Dick Allen is finally headed to the Hall of Fame.
The MVP favorite added to his case with three rushing and three passing scores. That wasn’t enough as Puka Nacua and Los Angeles snapped Buffalo’s win streak.
It hasn’t been the season that the San Francisco 49ers envisioned over the summer, but the team finally put it together Sunday at home against the Chicago Bears with a resounding 38-13 victory.
The 49ers entered Week 14 on a three-game losing streak that included back-to-back blowout losses against the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills, both by 25+ points.
However, the Chicago Bears provided the perfect get-right spot, as the 49ers dominated on both sides of the ball.
In fact, Chicago’s offense posted one of the most inept first-half performances you’ll ever see.
Kadarius Toney’s highlight reels now look like clips from America’s Funniest Home Videos.
The former NFL first-round receiver plays for the Cleveland Browns after souring his relationship with the Giants and a brief yet somewhat memorable tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs until his release in August.
Considered by many football fans as the goofiest player in the NFL, Toney furthers his case for the title with a pair of silly plays Sunday.
