Juan Soto is about to get so, so much money.

Remember in the first season of True Detective when Matthew McConaughey kept talking about how time is a flat circle? Well, according to reports, time flat-circling for the 2017 National Champion (look it up; Coley Matrix) University of Central Florida Knights, as the man who led them that season, Scott Frost, could be headed back to Orlando.
Multiple reports indicate that the reunion is coming after former head coach Gus Malzahn resigned when the Knights wrapped up their lackluster 4-8 campaign.

ATLANTA – Oh, so you expected a high-scoring game between Georgia and Texas on Saturday evening inside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium? Nope, but we did get the first overtime in the 33-year history of the SEC Championship, with the Dawgs winning 22-19 on a Trevor Etienne 4-yard run in the first overtime. 
While this might have been one of craziest games of tug-a-war we’ve seen recently in SEC title games, and while Texas put up an incredible fight in the second half, Georgia is still walking away on top of the conference, with a first-round bye in the college football playoff.

Georgia won with its backup QB, a bullying defense and a Trevor Etienne 4-yard TD run to close out Texas and earn a first-round bye in the CFP.

We’ve got conference championship games across college football this weekend, and what better way to kick one of those games off than with an appearance by one of the greatest competitors of the 21st-century, competitive eater Joe “Jaws” Chestnut.
The competitive-eating GOAT was on hand in Indianapolis ahead of the Big Ten Championship Game between Oregon and Penn State, but before those two heavyweight teams had a chance to go out and impress us, Chestnut may have done the most impressive thing of the day during a shrimp cocktail competition.

The curtain will fall on the 2024 Formula 1 season on Sunday when the checkered flag flies at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and for the first time since Brawn won the title in 2009 a team other than Mercedes or Red Bull will be crowned Constructors’ champions.
Heading into Sunday McLaren is in pole position, literally and figuratively.

It’d be easy to forgive ownership and the front office then, if they sat back a bit and enjoyed their success. Instead, they signed two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell to a 5-year, $182 million deal.

Adames was considered by some to be the market’s second-best offensive player behind only Juan Soto.
