Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins was signed to be the starter in 2024 and potentially beyond, but then the team drafted Michael Penix, Jr. in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Now with Cousins looking shaky, it’s becoming more likely the veteran won’t be the starter in 2025.

Minnesota has a tough decision to make with it comes to their star quarterback.
Sam Darnold was a problem for the Falcons on Sunday. In total command of Kevin O’Connell’s offense, he turned a middling Atlanta secondary into his own personal playground, throwing for 347 yards and 5 touchdowns on an afternoon where there was simply no stopping him.
Sam Darnold has been a problem for the entire NFL this season. Boasting a 108.1 passer rating this season, only Lamar Jackson and Jared Goff have higher efficiency ratings.

We go over the Falcons odds to make the postseason after their Week 14 game against the Vikings.
The Atlanta Falcons lost an ugly one to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14 as quarterback Kirk Cousins once again fell apart. The Falcons put up a good fight in the first half, tying the game at 21 in the closing seconds of the second quarter. However, they would not score again and the defense collapse while Cousins struggled with turnovers.

There should have been some celebration by the Philadelphia Eagles after they won their ninth consecutive game on Sunday. After all, the victory over the Carolina Panthers and losses by other teams clinched the Eagles a postseason berth for the fourth consecutive season.
And that’s the longest playoff streak the franchise has authored since the turn of the century from 2000-2004.
But, nope.
The Eagles were seemingly close to hating life after a 22-16 victory.
They said things that made them sound like the Eeyore of the NFL.

McLaren began the day Sunday at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the verge of a Formula 1 Constructors’ title. With a 21-point lead in hand over Ferrari, and both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri starting on the front row, it felt as if McLaren had one hand on the trophy, with the other just inches away.
Then in the first corner of the race, everything changed.

It’s clear the Lakers won’t accomplish anything significant this season, so LeBron James and Anthony Davis should leave the team for a title contender.

The Jaguars’ win in Week 14 improved their record, but not their draft position
The Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a pair of interceptions from backup quarterback Mac Jones to defeat the Tennessee Titans by a final score of 10-6 on Sunday. The win improved Jacksonville’s record to 3-10 on the season, a small bright spot during what has been a difficult campaign.
However, the win cost Jacksonville in the race for the first-overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Minnesota Vikings hosted the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, marking their former quarterback’s first game back in Minnesota since making the move to Atlanta this past offseason. But it was Darnold who stole the show, as the Vikings’ QB threw for 347 yards and 5 touchdowns, both of which were career-high marks, as Minnesota improved to 11-2 on the season with a 42-21 win over Atlanta.
