Another victim has been identified stemming from the terror attack in New Orleans.
The New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans released a joint statement on Thursday, naming young Matthew Tenedorio as a life tragically lost after a crazed man drove his pickup truck through crowds on Bourbon Street, striking people celebrating the new year.
MORE DETAILS ON THE NEW ORLEANS ATTACK
Tenedorio worked for the ASM New Orleans video production team. He was one of 15 patrons who died early Wednesday, with more than 35 additional patrons left injured.

One of the biggest disasters of the Biden Administration was its incomprehensible re-write of Title IX to change the original protected class, women, to anyone who “identifies” as a woman.
That means, of course, that males who call themselves women would be protected under Title IX. That would give them the right to compete in women’s sports, use women’s private facilities and take educational opportunities away from females.
But President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to “ban” males from women’s sports and women’s spaces.

The Hokies got a major land in the junior class to kick off the new year on Thursday.
The Virginia Tech Hokies have secured a commitment from 2026 three-star wide receiver Carnell Warren, he announced at the Under Armour All-American Game on Thursday.
Warren, a 6’4”, 200-pound receiver from Bluffton, South Carolina, chose the Hokies over three other ACC schools: the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Duke Blue Devils and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Nashville Predators rookie Zachary L’Heureux is going to be getting some unpaid time off thanks to a nasty slew foot he delivered to Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon.
The incident happened on New Year’s Eve when L’Heureux and Spurgeon skated to a puck along the end boards.
However, just as they were heading into the boards, L’Heuruex used his leg to sweep out both of Spurgeon’s feet, sending the Wild D-man awkwardly into the boards.
Spurgeon was injured on the play and left the game. He is scheduled to have an MRI.

One of the most unfortunate stories of the College Football Playoff thus far was the bewildering missed targeting call during Wednesday’s game between the Texas Longhorns and Arizona State Sun Devils.
In a pivotal moment in the game, late in the fourth quarter with the score tied at 24, ASU mounted a potential game-winning drive. On 3rd and 15, the Sun Devils threw a pass short of the sticks, completing a 10-yard pass to Melquan Stoval. Stoval got lit up by defensive back Michael Taafe, with what appeared to be textbook helmet-to-helmet targeting.
