Aaron Rodgers found himself on the other end of an unnecessary roughness penalty Sunday. And the official couldn’t help but laugh.
Down 12-0 to Buffalo in the third quarter, Rodgers threw an interception — his second of the day — to Bills cornerback Christian Benford. As Benford returned the ball, Rodgers was one of two New York Jets players who pushed him out of bounds.
Apparently, though, he made contact a little bit late. Referee Clete Blakeman flagged the QB for unnecessary roughness, and he chuckled while doing it.

Except, Jerry Jones isn’t going to be firing Mike McCarthy.
The Cowboys owner and general manager may very well want to hire a different head coach in 2025, but there would be no firing in the traditional sense because McCarthy’s contract expires after the season. So the move by Jones would be to simply not renew McCarthy’s contract.

Pickett also suffered an injury in the game against the Commanders, but started the game despite hurting his ribs in Week 16.
However, the Cowboys defense laid a couple of big hits on Pickett, the second of which knocked Pickett out of the game.
