LeBron James is many things. He is one of the best NBA players ever to wear a uniform, an Olympian eyeing his third gold medal this month at the 2024 Paris Summer Games, and a global icon.
He is also a dad.
And while LeBron’s list of accomplishments on the court is simply too long to run through here, any dad will tell you that no matter how impressive they are professionally, there is nothing they are better at than embarrassing their children.
Take this exhibit from the Paris Summer Games.

Caleb Williams’ Bears teammates had best reaction to his signing bonus
The Chicago Bears’ rookie contract negotiations with No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams weren’t quite as easy as they should have been. Williams was unsigned until the brink of training camp, and his team was making some odd requests — such as asking to be paid as an LLC. Eventually, both sides got the deal done, the quarterback is ready to go for the season.
The Bears are appearing on “Hard Knocks” this year, and some early footage is already being released.
The international pool of talent has never been deeper, but the Americans have an “embarrassment of riches” in their quest to win their fifth straight gold medal.
The first full week of training camp is behind all the NFL’s teams and, as if on cue, injuries have made an appearance around the league in trying to drive part of the 2024 season’s narrative.
Consider that on Thursday alone, the Los Angeles Chargers announced quarterback Justin Herbert is going to miss approximately two weeks of camp while treating an injury to the plantar fascia on his right foot.
This was our first chance to see the “Dynamic Kickoff.”
If you happened to miss Texans vs. Bears in the NFL Hall of Fame Game we won’t blame you. Caleb Williams wasn’t playing, the Olympic games were on, and there are quite literally thousands of other things you could be doing that are a better use of your time than preseason footaball.
That said, if you missed the game you also missed the first time the league has used the new kickoff rules in a game. Borrowed from the XFL, the new kickoff is wild to see in practice.

The Olympics brings athletes from all walks of life into one city to show off their talents for the world. Every four years we get another set of athletes who jump into our stream of consciousness.
Our latest hero comes from the world of the Olympic pistol shooting, and he looks nothing like anyone else who was in the competition.
If you were bored by yesterday’s drama surrounding female Olympic boxers with more gender questions than your typical SAT test, then you’re really gonna love what today has to bring!
One day after Algerian Imane Khelif easily disposed of her first-round opponent – and set the world ablaze along the way – Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting took to the ring this morning against Uzbek Sitora Turdibekova.
Like Khelif, Yu-Ting defeated her opponent. This time, though, the images weren’t quite as jarring.

Even (or perhaps especially) when WWE wanted fans to cheer Roman Reigns, they wouldn’t.
WWE’s failure to turn Reigns into the 2010’s version of Hulk Hogan or John Cena is well-covered ground, but it basically came down to the company’s then-leader Vince McMahon misunderstanding Roman’s charisma*. He was never going to be a “say your prayers and take your vitamins” or “hustle, loyalty, respect” guy, and the moments where he got to display his inherent swagger instead of saying “sufferin’ succotash” proved it.
The world has been consumed by debate surrounding Algeria’s Imane Khelif and Chinese Taipei’s Lin Yu-ting, who are fighting for Olympic women’s boxing medals.
