The San Francisco 49ers have suspended linebacker De’Vondre Campbell for the rest of the season after he refused to enter Thursday’s game, effectively ending his tenure with the team.
In the fourth quarter of the 12-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Campbell was set to relieve an injured teammate. Instead, though, he told head coach Kyle Shanahan he didn’t want to play. Then, Campbell walked to the locker room with a towel over his head.

Sergio Pérez is expected to learn his F1 fate in the next few days
The 2024 Formula 1 season is barely in the books, with last Friday’s FIA Prize Giving Ceremony officially bringing the curtain down on this year’s campaign.
But next season is already on everyone’s mind around the sport.
The biggest matter of outstanding business? Finalizing the driver lineup at Red Bull. The FIA released the 2025 driver entry list last week, but there was one notable omission.

We are halfway through December, boys and girls. That means in 17 days, we’ll be in January, which means we’ll be one month away from automobile season.
That’s right. They don’t call it the shortest offseason in sports by accident, you know. You get three months to do whatever the hell you want, and then BAM – it’s time to clock back in for 36 weeks of work.
But, we ain’t there quite yet. In NASCAR terms, we’re probably at the end of Stage 2 in the offseason. Shit’s about to get real. Strap in.

How some of the most prominent college basketball transfers are doing this season.
Change is the only constant in life, and college basketball is no different. Years ago, a player’s main decision was what college to play for. Once that was decided and the athlete signed, they would play there for three or four years. The idea of transferring penalized the student-athlete too much to make it worthwhile.
Sitting out a year so one could start up again someplace else in a potentially better scenario was an itch not worth scratching until now.
