Morgan Wallen took an unexpected shot on live TV during the Ohio State/Tennessee game.
The Buckeyes humiliated the Volunteers 42-17 in the opening round of the College Football Playoff. It was complete domination from the opening snap.
Ohio State looked like grown men playing against kids. The Vols got boat raced, and the country music star also got dragged.
ESPN2 had an alternate broadcast of the game featuring members of “The Pat McAfee Show,” and one of the members was worried about chairs near Wallen during the big OSU win.
“It is doom and gloom.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve to all who celebrate! Now, let’s talk some NASCAR while you’re heading to your Mother-in-Law’s house and gearing up for the most mentally taxing week of the year.
Sure, it’s the end of the year and there is literally nothing new going on in the racing world. Sure, they haven’t run an actual race in nearly two months now. Nope, we still have seven weeks till Daytona, so this ain’t exactly the time to start breaking down Xs and Os.

LSU Gymnastics opens the doors to fans to kickoff the new season.
In the world of college athletics, it’s hard to draw a crowd during winter break. The final exams for the fall semester are over, students are home for the holidays. Morgan Tuck sat down with SB Nation to share whether she sees Alyssa Thomas, DeWanna Bonner, and Brionna Jones returning to the Connecticut Sun, the process of protecting players for the expansion draft, and more.

The Patriots’ rookie is playing well beyond his years.
Unless you live in New England it’s been easy to overlook Drake Maye in his rookie season. The No. 3 quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft didn’t carry near the fanfare or hype as the two guys selected before him, nor did Maye come with the same level of profound (bordering unrealistic) expectations. However, as we approach 2025 it’s tough to be more bullish about many young quarterbacks in the league. Drake Maye is poised to be an absolute stud.
It’s never wrong to win, so that applies to the Las Vegas Raiders when they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. That out of the way, let’s all agree that victory was not optimal.
It was not great for the future.
It was not great for the well-being of the franchise.
It was not the best result if you weigh everything involved.
Coach Antonio Pierce and the players that were celebrating the success of their 19-14 victory as if it came with some sort of championship would vehemently disagree.
“Long overdue,” Pierce said afterward.
WNBA player Natasha Cloud celebrated the passing of a stopgap funding bill by suggesting Elon Musk leave the United States and return to Africa while taking shots at billionaires. The Phoenix Mercury guard fired off quite a collection of tweets insinuating that she knows how the government works far better than others.
The stopgap bill was opposed by many Republican leaders, with President-Elect Donald Trump and Musk leading the rebellion against the initial plan to avert a partial government shutdown.
That bill would have extended current government funding levels until March 14.
