Tank Dell caught perhaps the most costly touchdown of his career Saturday afternoon.
The Houston Texans receiver scored on a 30-yard catch from quarterback C.J. Stroud. But what Dell sacrificed to make the play may cost him the remainder of the season based on multiple camera angles and the reaction of teammates to the injury.
Dell caught the pass and almost simultaneously took a hit to the left knee from teammate Jared Wayne. The knee bent in an unnatural way.
It was so ugly, NBC declined to show the replay.
But there was no denying this is a serious injury by what happened next.

XXXX. We break down how they can clinch a spot in the 2025 NFL Playoffs in Week 16.
The Baltimore Ravens aren’t just locked in a race for the AFC North division with the Pittsburgh Steelers, they are fighting for a wild card berth in the postseason. They can make a huge dent in the division race this weekend clinch a playoff spot in the process.
Baltimore at 9-5 comes into Week 16 in fifth place in the AFC, and with the Chargers in on Thursday, the Ravens are a half-game up on both Los Angeles and Denver.

Notre Dame’s commanding win over the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday night set off a firestorm of SEC superiority, from a conference that loves to hold other teams to standards theirs can’t live up to.
The most obvious example is Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, who ignored his own team’s three terrible losses to unranked teams to criticize the College Football Playoff committee.

Patrick Mahomes is apparently not of this Earth.
Earlier this week, on Monday to be precise, Mahomes wasn’t certain he’d be able to play against the Houston Texans on Saturday because of a high ankle sprain. The injury had him hobbling around the Kansas City training facility and on a schedule for full-time treatment.
Well, the injury got progressively better as documented by OutKick on Friday. But what he did in Saturday’s first series against the Texans was, well, freakish.
Mahomes, his ankles heavily taped, scrambled out of the pocket on a 12-yard run.
