In the immortal words of Heather O’Rourke in Poltergeist II … they’re baaaaaaack.
“They,” in this case, are the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines, who won a rock fight with USC on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor 27-24, thanks to a 1-yard touchdown run from Kalel Mullins with 37 seconds to play. This, despite a one-dimensional offensive attack that included only 32 passing yards.
In the process, Michigan proved that it is capable of getting back on the mountaintop and potentially repeat as national champions.

Giving up a safety is always embarrassing for an offense, but the one that we got from  Virginia Tech was bad enough to probably get a few Hokies fans cutting eye holes in paper bags.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights paid a visit to Lane Stadium on Saturday afternoon for a date with the Hokies and toward the end of the first half, the Hokies found themselves third and 8 from their own 5-yard line.
And unfortunately, things kind of fell apart.
Hokies quarterback Kyron Drones dropped back into the endzone and appeared to get his feet tangled with one of his offensive linemen.

Holy crap, that can’t be right.
The North Carolina Tar Heels football team put up Big 12-esque offensive numbers today against the JMU Dukes in Chapel Hill on Saturday afternoon. In just 60 minutes of football, the offense:
And yet, somehow, the Tarheels left their home stadium with a loss? I get crazy stuff like this happens in college football, but this just seems way too insane, even for this sport.
What in the heck did JMU do?
The Dukes saw North Carolina’s scoring ability, and somehow surpassed it.
The Dukes, my goodness, put up a 70-piece on the Tar Heels.

The atmosphere around Gaylord Memorial Stadium leading up to the Tennessee-Oklahoma matchup was filled with alcohol, cornhole, good food and fans ready to witness one of the most anticipated home games in Sooners history. 
As I made my way through the thousands of fans lined up to welcome the Oklahoma football team into the stadium, you could sense the anticipation as the band began to play. This will certainly be one of the more hostile environments for Tennessee this season, as the return of former Oklahoma quarterback and coach, Josh Heupel, has been on the minds of many around Norman.
