Wins can be the cure-all to any team’s problems. Before the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) tallied their first win of the season — beating the injured Colts 37-34 — the Jags’ locker room was headed toward a major disaster after quarterback Trevor Lawrence and wideout Gabe Davis shared a testy interaction on the sideline.
Lawrence threw a tablet on the ground, and Davis had to be held back by teammates during the altercation in the first half of Week 5’s game.

You know those people that just have a natural knack for saying the funniest things at the perfect moment? Ryan Castellanos, older brother of Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick, fits in the latter category.
While you were likely feasting your eyes on today’s NFL action, the Phillies and New York Mets were duking it out in Game 2 of the NLDS in Philadelphia. For five innings, the Mets completely handcuffed the Phillies offense, and led 3-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Denver Broncos started their Sunday match against the Las Vegas Raiders quite poorly, immediately falling into a 10-0 hole.
But quarterback Bo Nix and the Broncos scored the next 34 points in the game to eventually blow the doors off the hapless Raiders, who are currently in the midst of all kinds of off-field drama.
You’d think that would make Nix and head coach Sean Payton very happy, but not all was rosy between coach and quarterback on the sideline during the game.
Fox cameras caught Nix screaming at Payton after a failed drive in the second half.

The MLB Playoffs are underway and there’s a weather delay. No surprise, baseball is no stranger to that.
Oh, wait! It’s not the MLB Playoffs that can’t start on time, it’s Sunday Night Football between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys!
Due to thunderstorms in the Pittsburgh area that produced some pretty impressive lightning, players were sent back to their respective locker rooms and fans were encouraged to seek shelter.
This is the second time this season that a primetime NFL game could not start on time.
