Buoyed by a first-half surge in which he outgained the entire Patriots offense, Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, a pending unrestricted free agent, earned MVP honors as Seattle ran to a 29-13 victory Sunday.

Well, I guess 2026 simply belongs to Chris Gotterup and Patrick Reed. The two Americans have both gotten off to dream starts, albeit on opposite sides of the globe, and have looked dominant in the process. Gotterup has lost to 17 golfers in his last three PGA Tour starts, while Reed has lost to exactly one player in his last three DP World Tour starts. That’s what we call different gravy.
As it so often does, the WM Phoenix Open delivered in every way over the weekend with a jam-packed leaderboard and a playoff to close things out on Sunday.

What we watched just wasn’t fair. A young quarterback, excited about performing in his first Super Bowl, only to get thrown to the pitcher and subjected to the Seahawks blender.

Canada remains the gold-standard when it comes to men’s Olympic hockey, but their stranglehold on the sport isn’t as vice-like as it once was.

According to ESPN’s sources, an all-British heavyweight clash is currently in the works as former titleholder Daniel Dubois is said to be in talks for meeting with Fabio Wardley. While a deal has yet to be struck between the two, talks are said to be progressing nicely with both sides looking to nail it down.
Wardley (20-0-1, 19KOs) currently holds the WBO title after he was promoted into position after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt. He most recently stopped Joseph Parker in 11 rounds back in November.

Kirsty Muir is competing at her second Winter Olympics [EPA]
Freestyle skier Kirsty Muir missed out on Great Britain’s first medal of the 2026 Winter Olympics by the narrowest of margins with a fourth-place finish in the women’s slopestyle.
Muir scored 76.05 points with a brilliant third run, finishing only 0.41 behind Canadian bronze medallist Megan Oldham at Livigno Snow Park.
Having fallen on the penultimate jump of her opening run, Muir – who had qualified third – sat in sixth after her second.

Clay-Chalkville (AL) accomplished what every high school football team in the state of Alabama look towards doing. Going undefeated and capping it with a state championship.
The Cougars pulled that very feat off on their way to winning the AHSAA’s Class 6A state title in 2025, but now a proposal is on the table for the City of Clay to see if they can help the football team with championship rings.

The Wikipedia page for Centennial High School in Roswell, Georgia features 11 names in its “Notable Alumni” section. A pair of them shared the stage at the Lombardi Trophy presentation after Super Bowl 60.
NBC Sports host Maria Taylor presented the NFL’s championship trophy to former classmate Mike Macdonald, the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, on Feb. 8. Macdonald led Seattle to a Super Bowl win – the franchise’s second ever – in his second season as head coach.

Though the Los Angeles Rams weren’t playing on Super Bowl Sunday, one of their players still made a brief appearance on millions of TVs during the game.

Tight end Colby Parkinson appeared in an excellent Super Bowl commercial from Novartis about prostate cancer screenings. In fact, he was one of many tight ends in the ad, opening the spot by lying comfortably on a float in a pool while sipping a drink from an absurdly long straw.
Greg Olsen was in it, as were Delanie Walker and Tony Gonzalez. George Kittle, too.
