The Los Angeles Dodgers made their latest massive free agency signing official on Wednesday, introducing Yoshinobu Yamamoto at a Dodger Stadium press conference.
It further enhanced what’s already been a remarkable offseason in Los Angeles, with the Dodgers wielding their financial might over rival organizations. But it’s not just the financial aspect that’s drawing players to LA. Shohei Ohtani, for example, referenced that the team’s winning culture over the past decade was a significant contributing factor to his decision.
Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe revealed ahead of Monday’s Rose Bowl matchup vs. Michigan that he almost didn’t stick with the quarterback position because of his former offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.
While Milroe was backing up Bryce Young for the Crimson Tide during the 2021 and ‘22 seasons, O’Brien thought Milroe should try out some other positions on the team. Milroe didn’t follow O’Brien’s advice, obviously, but instead used it as motivation to improve his game.
“All my life, even when I was in college,” Milroe said, via On3.

Åberg put his creativity on display at a snowy golf course in Sweden as the PGA Tour rookie showed fans how he can adapt.
This offseason, Ludvig Åberg spent the holidays in Eslöv, Sweden where he showcased how they creatively play golf during the winter months.
The 24-year-old PGA Tour rookie must practice, regardless of the weather, and it produced an insightful video with the PGA Tour.

Lincoln Financial Field is one of the rowdiest atmospheres in professional sports thanks to how loud and passionate Philadelphia Eagles fans are. While the atmosphere helps the Eagles more than it hurts them, the noise appears to be getting under the skin of some players on the hometown team.
Fans inside the Linc don’t exactly take a play off as they’re just as loud when the Eagles are on offense as they are when the team is on defense.
After a four-interception outing by quarterback Nick Mullens, the Minnesota Vikings are making a change.
The Vikings will start Jaren Hall at quarterback against the Green Bay Packers Sunday evening, according to a Thursday afternoon report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Hall, 25, started for Minnesota on Nov. 5 against the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie out of BYU completed five of his six pass attempts for 78 yards in the Vikings’ 31-28 win.
In that game, Hall sustained a concussion and was forced to exit. He was replaced by Joshua Dobbs, who steered Minnesota to victory.
Here’s who we’re picking in Week 17.
There are just two weeks left in the NFL regular season and the league has never been more unpredictable. Outside of the Ravens and 49ers it’s unclear who can step up in the AFC and NFC to make the Super Bowl, with a huge amount of the teams being locked in the “very good, but not great” category.
That’s made for a pretty amazing season. Parity is on full display from week-to-week, and when coupled with some big surprises it’s made it impossible to predict the results.
The Vikings’ quarterback shuffle continues.
