Detroit had not won in two months. The Celtics were coming off an impressive 3–1 West Coast road trip. The Pistons entered the game riding a 27-game losing streak.

As Kirk Herbstreit has taken on more responsibility by broadcasting Thursday Night Football for Amazon Prime Video since last year, he’s introduced the world to his adorable golden retriever, Ben. Herbstreit takes Ben to games that he broadcasts during the year, as he is on the road a lot, and on the final TNF of the season, Herbstreit brought Ben onto the broadcast.
Late in Thursday’s game between the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns, with the Browns leading comfortably, Ben made his way into the booth with Herbstreit and Al Michaels, and he wore his own headset for the game.
Jets defensive lineman Michael Clemons was in prime form Thursday night while getting crushed by the Browns.
Cleveland hammered the Jets 37-20, and the game was so lopsided it looked like Joe Flacco decided to catch a quick nap in the second half.

In a video filmed by Nicole Guizzotti, Clemons repeatedly told Browns fans “F*ck you!” one after another. He literally walked a line giving everyone a piece of his mind.
However, there was no malicious intent.

Nikola Jokić already has become an all-time NBA great, as the Denver Nuggets center boasts two MVP awards and an NBA championship on his résumé. On Thursday night, he joined elite company in a statistical sense as the Nuggets beat the Memphis Grizzlies.
Jokić totaled yet another triple-double in the win, his 11th of the season, scoring 26 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists. He did so without missing a shot, going 11-for-11 from the field to mark the third time in his career he recorded a perfect triple-double.

With their convincing 37–20 win over the New York Jets last night, the Cleveland Browns became the third AFC team to clinch a playoff spot.
Harold Varner III was arrested on Thursday night in Charlotte, North Carolina for driving while impaired. The LIV golfer registered a .16 blood alcohol content (BAC) during a breathalyzer test which is twice the legal driving limit in the state, according to court documents.
HV3 was booked into county jail around 7:30 PM and has since posted his $500 bond to be released. The 33-year-old is set to appear in court on January 19, 2024. His court date won’t affect his playing schedule with LIV. The Saudi-backed circuit’s first event of the new year begins on February 2.
