Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley got away with an easy punishment after tossing a basketball at an Indiana Pacers fan’s head.
According to Shams Charania of “The Athletic,” Beverley will be suspended for the first four games of the 2024 regular season. The 35-year-old is also suspended for refusing to speak with ESPN’s Malinda Adams after the Game 6 loss because Adams is not subscribed to Beverley’s podcast.

Rory McIlroy is at Quail Hollow this weekend to play in another PGA Tour signature event, the Wells Fargo Championship. Prior to his round, he was out on the driving range recounting jokes from the Roast of Tom Brady. 
There was one joke he really liked, and it was about Brady’s failed crypto investment. Nikki Glaser, one of the stars of the show, told a hilarious joke that incorporated Brady’s investment along with Rob Gronkowski’s perceived lack of intellect. 
“Tom also lost $30 million in crypto,” Glaser started the joke.

As promised, the new Utah NHL team is deciding its future moniker with a fan vote. Now the 20 names the team is considering are out, and while there are a couple of gems, most are absolute, unadulterated, steaming crap.
If you want to have your say in the matter, team owner Ryan Smith tweeted out the link on Wednesday evening.
But, it’s always good to go into anything as an informed voter, so let’s look at what they’ve got to choose from.

Nine-time PGA Tour winner Hideki Matsuyama has withdrawn from the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte.
Hideki Matsuyama has pulled out of the Wells Fargo Championship due to an ailing back.
The 2021 Masters Champion has extensively battled back injuries for over two years, as it once again flared up on him Thursday.
This marks his first exit from an event since he withdrew from the BMW Championship last August.

PGA Tour Commissioner, Jay Monahan, danced his way around the policy board drama regarding Rory McIlroy.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Rory McIlroy would not replace Webb Simpson on the PGA Tour Policy Board. That came on the heels of Simpson announcing his recusal in order for McIlroy to take his place.
