Boxing world champion Amy Broadhurst was among the women to beat Algerian Imane Khelif, the fighter in the middle of a gender controversy at the Paris Olympics, and spoke out about her former opponent on Wednesday.
Broadhurst, of Ireland, was a gold medalist in the 2022 International Boxing Association (IBA) Women’s World Championships, beating Khelif in the finals. Khelif was then disqualified from the 2023 tournament for what the IBA president said at the time was that it was “proved” Khelif had “XY chromosomes.

Skip Bayless confirmed that Friday was his last appearance on FS1 and “Undisputed,” the show he hosted for the past eight years.
“Today was my last show on Undisputed,” Bayless posted on X. “I’m leaving FS1. I’ve been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great 8-year run with a lot of great people at FOX, but now I’m excited for what’s coming up. Stay tuned.”
Bayless’ post-FS1 market is a question mark. He’s 73 years old.

In a couple of years, the Penn State men’s ice hockey team will have some considerable size on the blue line.
For all we know, that size could come from one player because he has a lot of it.
This week, it was announced that Alexander Carmonov had committed to play for the Nittany Lions.
That’s obviously very exciting news for any kid to commit to a D-1 program, but here’s the thing about Carmanov (sometimes spelled Karmanov), he’s listed at a jaw-dropping 6’11” tall at just 16 years old.

Hideki Matsuyama still owns a share of the lead at Le Golf National, despite a tough finish on the 18th hole.
Hideki Matsuyama arrived on the 18th tee holding a one-shot lead over Tommy Fleetwood, fresh off back-to-back birdies on his previous two holes.
But then disaster struck on the closing hole at Le Golf National, one of the more challenging holes on the course.

The family of late NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. has filed a lawsuit against his widow, Kalabrya Haskins — accusing her of misusing his name and refusing to share his ashes with them.
Haskins was tragically killed on April 9, 2022, at the age of 24 when he was struck by a dump truck while walking on a highway after his rental car ran out of gas.
The former QB’s parents and sister claim that, since his death, they have been continually harassed by Kalabrya whenever they’ve attempted to use his name and image on social media, which led to their accounts being disabled.

I don’t know that there’s anything in nature or science more perplexing than Corey Feldman’s music career.
Seriously. Black holes, dark matter, and how time works; I think we have a better understanding of all of those than we do of how and why Corey Feldman is continuing to pursue a career in music with what certainly appears to be a complete lack of musical ability.  The man has more confidence than someone who studied at Berkley College of Music and knows musical inside out and backward.
It’s awe-inspiring… and douche-chill-inducing.

Carlos Sainz Jr.’s decision to drive for Williams cuts the number of available seats down to four. How will they get filled?
The cork in the bottle that was Carlos Sainz Jr. has been removed
Now we wait to see how that moment impacts the rest of the Formula 1 grid.
On the first day of the sport’s annual summer shutdown, Sainz announced his long-anticipated decision for the 2025 F1 season, sharing the news that he signed a “multi-year” contract to driver for Williams starting next season.

Italy’s Angela Carini fell to her knees and was brought to tears after abandoning her boxing match against Algeria’s Imane Khelif on Thursday, but 24 hours later, she’s the one apologizing amid the gender controversy taking over the Olympics in Paris.
Carini decided to abandon the match against Khelif – who was previously deemed to have XY chromosomes – just 46 seconds into the fight. After the loss, Carini explained through tears that one punch from the Algerian “hurt too much.
