Just over a month into the MLB season, Riley Greene has already suffered two major wardrobe malfunctions.
During the third inning of Friday’s loss to the New York Yankees, the Detroit Tigers outfielder ripped his pants while sliding into second base. And we’re not talking about just a tiny tear — these pants split all the way down the side of his leg.
Wildly enough, the exact same thing happened to Greene during an April 9 game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 23-year-old slid into home plate, and his pants — quite literally — fell apart at the seams.

Jordan Spieth had a disappointing showing at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and even had to cough up $20 thanks to a wayward drive.
Jordan Spieth has missed his fourth cut of the season at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson—the event in which he made his PGA Tour debut as a 16-year-old in 2010.
He had a chance to make the weekend at the end of his second round, as he arrived at the par-4 16th hole one shot off the cut-line at 5-under par for the tournament.

The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Dallas Mavericks 114-101 in Game 6 on Friday night, ending their season short of the lofty goals set before them.
With his team out of the playoffs, and the Los Angeles Lakers sporting one of the most sought-after coaching openings in the NBA, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue was forced to address his future in the wake of Friday’s loss. Lue has been reported as one of the Lakers’ top targets, while a separate report indicated that the Clippers are very interested in retaining him.
As for Lue, he’d prefer to stick around with the Clippers.

After two rounds at LIV Golf’s event in Singapore, Koepka has restored his swagger and sits atop the leaderboard.
Guess who has his swagger back.
Through 36 holes at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, Brooks Koepka holds a three-shot lead over Thomas Pieters and Adrian Meronk in LIV Golf’s seventh event of the season.
“Just kind of finding my own little swagger,” Koepka said after his Saturday 7-under 64.

Katie Ledecky and Jim Thorpe were among 19 people awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Friday.
Ledecky is a seven-time Olympic gold medalist in swimming, taking home at least one gold in each of the past three Olympic Games. She is the most decorated women’s swimmer in history, and she’s not done yet. The 27-year-old will be looking to add to her medal collection at the Paris Olympics this summer.
Or — if you ask President Joe Biden — the Paralympics.
She might have a slight advantage there.

Who had one on their Bingo cards? Anyone? Of course y’all did! It’s 2024. You ALWAYS take the under when it comes to race-baiting. It took exactly one day for WNBA fans to play the race card.
For those who missed it, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese both made their WNBA debuts last night. Oh? You didn’t spend your Friday nights watching WNBA preseason games? Well, shame on you!
Plenty of folks did.

Williams faces an uphill climb in the F1 Sprint at the Miami Grand Prix
MIAMI — A tough Friday afternoon has given way to an even tougher Saturday morning for Williams at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant struggled in qualifying for the F1 Sprint race, with Albon finishing in P20, just behind Sargeant in P18. A three-place grid penalty handed down to Valtteri Bottas for impeding Oscar Piastri offered some relief, bumping both drivers up a spot, but now that relief has faded for Albon.
