The on-again, off-again relationship between receiver Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers has hit another snag as the wide receiver wants to be traded.
Aiyuk’s representation officially asked the team for a trade in recent days, OutKick has confirmed. NFL Media was first to report the request.
This comes after months of rumors that the receiver, unhappy with his contract extension talks with the club, wanted to go elsewhere. The Aiyuk camp previously denied a trade request had been made.
That was in April. Here we are in July and the story has changed.

Country singer Ingrid Andress is checking herself into rehab after admitting she was drunk for her terrible 2024 Home Run Derby national anthem.
Country music star Ingrid Andress admitted she was drunk during her shockingly poor performance singing the United States’ National Anthem at the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby on Tuesday night. The singer posted on Instagram that she will be checking herself into rehab following widespread negative feedback of her rendition.
The Home Run Derby began with a national anthem that will stand the test of time for all the wrong reasons.

Bronny James is not an NBA-caliber pro according to Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown. Well, he was at least of that opinion until he got caught saying it on camera and went viral on social media.
With his plethora of free time after not making the Team USA roster for the upcoming Paris Olympics, Brown decided to drop into Summer League action and sat courtside to watch James and the Lakers take on his Celtics squad.

Against all odds, everyone’s favorite mystery/crime solving/fighting cartoon dog, has gotten people talking at the MLB All-Star Game, and this time it was thanks to Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson.
That cartoon dog is of course…
…No, not McGruff the Crime Dog.
…Nope, not Krypto The Superdog.
…Uh-uh; wasn’t Underdog either (damn, there are a lot of these).
I am, of course, talking about Scooby-Doo.
Henderson was one of the competitors in this year’s Home Run Derby and he rolled into Arlington, Texas, with some custom lumber for the occasion.

It is shaping up to be a punishing weekend for the cars, and the drivers, at the Hungarian Grand Prix
Last year the Qatar Grand Prix was a punishing event for the entire Formula 1 grid.
We could see something similar this weekend in Hungary.
After a week off, the Formula 1 grid is headed to Budapest for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix. The race will be the first half of a doubleheader, along with next weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix, ahead of the sport’s annual summer shutdown.

DALLAS — As the off-field incidents continue to pile up related to reckless driving charges by Georgia football players, head coach Kirby Smart has revealed a different way that players are being punished for their actions.
Over the past few years, the Bulldogs have seen a drastic uptick in off-field issues related to driving at high speeds. Following the crash that killed offensive lineman Devon Willock and Bulldogs staffer Chandler LeCroy, there have been multiple incidents related to reckless driving within the program.

It sounds like Wisconsin QB Tyler Van Dyke has taken some significant steps forward since joining the Badgers.
Van Dyke transferred to Wisconsin after an up and down career at Miami. The expectation has been since he made the move that he’ll be the starter, but Braedyn Locke definitely gave him everything TVD could handle in spring camp.
While head coach Luke Fickell hasn’t officially named Van Dyke the starter, all signs point to the decision already being a done deal, but fans might be in for a bit of a surprise as to his abilities:
He’s got some speed in him these days.
