NEW ORLEANS – The NFL is a terrific magician. While we’re all marveling at the shiny object in one hand, there’s something significant going on in the other hand. And that’s the case now with the New York Jets and Aaron Rodgers.
While the country’s attention is on Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, there’s  been important work done by the Jets and Rodgers’ representation to figure out if the 41-year-old quarterback’s future will be with the team or not.
And let’s jump ahead to the bottom line: It’s not a definitive yes or no yet.

Dana White crushed the media with another classic rant.
The UFC President isn’t a fan of the media, and he’s made that clear too many times to count. In fact, Dana White vs. the media is often more entertaining than the fights in the actual octagon.
Well, he gifted fans with another golden rant that is a must-watch.
UFC 312 was a monster event Saturday in Sydney, Australia, and the biggest moment came after the fights were done. The sports mogul cut it loose when talking about dealing with the media in Australia, and he didn’t filter his words.
He went all gas, no brakes.

Travis Kelce’s Chiefs are 19-3 with Taylor Swift in attendance.
Author’s note: This is an article about Taylor Swift, which we are posting on a sports website. If you have strong negative feelings about coverage of Taylor Swift on a sports website, remember: You are more than welcome to NOT read coverage of Taylor Swift on a sports website. Only you can save yourself from reading about Taylor Swift on the internet.
Call it whatever you want: The Taylor Effect. Taylor’s Arrowhead Era. Annoying as hell.

Trombone Shorty is a national treasure.
One of the best things about this New Orleans Super Bowl is how much organizers are going all-in on representing the city’s culture. It is dripping from the pre-game performances, and Trombone Shorty is going to blow people away with his rendition of America the Beautiful on Sunday.
Trombone Shorty hails from New Orleans’ legendary Tremé neighborhood, known for creating some of the most legendary jazz musicians in the city.

Donald Trump is having a better Sunday than most. Not only is the President heading to New Orleans to attend Super Bowl LIX later in the afternoon, but he’s also starting his day on the golf course and playing a round with none other than Tiger Woods. The pair is reportedly teeing it up at Trump International in West Palm Beach, Florida.
President Trump’s interview with Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier is set to air at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Every day is a busy one when you’re the President, but some busy days are better than others, and this Sunday appears to be one of those days.

Just two months after stepping away from ESPN to battle cancer, Randy Moss is back at the Sunday NFL Countdown desk.
The Hall of Fame wide receiver made his return to the pre-game show ahead of Super Bowl LIX live from New Orleans. The network welcomed Moss with a tribute video, where he received well-wishes from fellow legends like Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Justin Jefferson, Kevin Garnett, Jerry Rice and Daunte Culpepper.
He even got a special message from Marie Green, the widow of former Minnesota Vikings coach Dennis Green: “Randy, you are fighting, and you will win.

Like anyone successful in their craft, Brandel Chamblee has earned his fair share of critics over the years. Those numbers have increased most recently due to his staunch criticism of LIV Golf due to the circuit’s direct ties to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), but now the Golf Channel analyst has at least started to listen to the other side of the argument, which was delivered by the President of the United States himself.

One notable tradition at the close of each Super Bowl is the Gatorade bath for the winning coach. We’ve got a look at the history of the tradition and what colors have been used.
The NFL season wraps up every year with the Super Bowl determining the champion of the league. The proverbial cherry on top comes with the Gatorade shower.
When the game has finally been decided, tradition has dictated that the winning team dump whatever is in the Gatorade tub on their head coach.

Will we see Jason Kelce in Chiefs gear on Sunday?
Jason Kelce was loudly, and proudly cheering the Chiefs a year ago when Kansas City and San Francisco met in the Super Bowl — but that won’t be the case in Super Bowl LIV.
Jason made it clear on New Heights that he’s torn in his allegiances, but not matter what happens he’ll be happy.

“I’ll always root for my brother, but there’s a lot of people in the Philadelphia organization that feel like extended family to me. I’m rooting for those guys too.
