One of the first things you notice is the number of cameras. They’re everywhere, trained on the four ice sheets at a variety of angles. Some fixed. Some swooping down on cables. Others manoeuvred on long arms.
Coaches clad in anoraks and armed with laptops discuss data posted on large screens, their conversations punctuated by the clunk of granite on granite as Team GB’s curlers hone their games on the perfectly prepared ice.

Abdukodir Khusanov endured a nightmare debut for Manchester City, producing a comedy of errors inside his first four minutes of action for the club.
After an awful mistake from the £33m signing gifted Chelsea the opening goal in the game in January 2025, he was booked soon after and it was an uphill journey for him from that desperate start.

We asked for your views after Tottenham Hotspur’s latest defeat by Newcastle United and you have had your say…
John: I have directions of every Championship club – anyone need them?
Sean: We are awful and will probably go down. Starting to play a bit better after 50 minutes is not good enough. The two teams below us are more up for the fight than we are. It’s sad and embarrassing, but the result of years of bad recruitment and appointments are now being played out on the pitch.
The Washington Commanders finally introduced their new coordinators on Tuesday. Offensive coordinator David Blough met with the media for the first time in his new role, while Daronte Jones made his first appearance since Washington hired him two weeks ago.
Head coach Dan Quinn spoke first before Jones and Blough took the podium. Jones spoke for over 30 minutes, covering his background, discussing schemes, and discussing which current Washington players he likes.
Here are six takeaways from Tuesday’s media availability.
Pep Guardiola credits Gianluigi Donnarumma’s “mum and dad” for Liverpool save
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was keen to issue further significant praise on Gianluigi Donnarumma for the save made at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
City’s narrow victory on Merseyside represented another important step in a season defined by fine margins, composure under pressure, and decisive moments at both ends of the pitch as Guardiola and his players continue to chase down Arsenal at the division’s summit.

Alisson Criticised After City Loss
Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at Anfield will linger, not for prolonged City dominance, but for a single moment that shifted the emotional weight of the contest. A game drifting towards a hard earned point instead swung on a decision that invited fierce scrutiny, particularly from Roy Keane.
Arne Slot’s side had worked diligently to gain control. When Dominik Szoboszlai curled home a 74th minute free kick, Anfield sensed a statement victory.
[BBC]
The Liverpool fans seem to have had enough of Arne Slot, which again makes no sense to me. Just because they aren’t going to win the title again doesn’t mean they aren’t building anything.
It seems that making the Champions League places is like the title used to be now – as in, if you don’t make the Champions League then the manager has got to go. It drives me potty.
I know Sunderland lost at Arsenal on Saturday but I still enjoyed their performance.
[BBC]
I was at Elland Road on Friday and Nottingham Forest were insipid in their defeat by Leeds – they were really flat.
This is a real pressure game for Forest, and in many ways it is the worst possible fixture for them. Wolves are hopeless so, if Forest win, their fans will say ‘well we should be beating them, because they are rubbish’.
Lose or even drop points, however, then you can imagine the atmosphere and the mood of the fans, and the pressure that will put on the players.

Alvaro Arbeloa and Real Madrid captain hold decisive talks to clear differences
Recent days in Madrid have seen tense developments regarding the future of Dani Carvajal.
After all, the full-back’s situation since returning from injury last month has been anything but straightforward.
Despite returning to the manager’s list early in January, Carvajal was barely given any prominence with the manager preferring Federico Valverde at right-back over taking a risk with the captain.

The Atlanta Braves have had a solid offseason in terms of making additions. Atlanta is coming off a forgettable season, one that simply got away from them. The biggest priority for the Braves this year is staying healthy and avoiding the injury bug. Still, their largest need remains adding another starting pitcher — and it can’t be just anyone.

The Golden State Warriors acquired Kristaps Porzingis at the Feb. 5 trade deadline. The veteran big man solves a long-standing issue in the middle of the floor for Steve Kerr’s team. However, he is yet to suit up for the franchise, as he continues to deal with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POSTS).
When healthy, Porzingis projects to be a near-ideal partner for Stephen Curry. The veteran big is a legitimate three-level scorer and can provide spacing in the pick-and-roll, on the weakside, or offer a vertical threat in the dunker spot.

The Lakers were short-handed on Tuesday night against the Spurs, but I’m sure very few people expected what was in store to happen in the first half of that game.
Los Angeles had their worst defensive half in team history, as they couldn’t stop anything the Spurs’ offense challenged them with.

Diop shot 6 of 10 from the floor and 5 of 6 from the line.

NEW YORK (AP) — Pascal Siakam scored 30 points, Andrew Nembhard had 24 points and 10 assists and the Indiana Pacers snapped a four-game losing streak by holding off the New York Knicks with a 137-134 overtime victory on Tuesday night.
The Pacers scored the first nine points of overtime and overcame a furious Knicks run over the final 24.3 seconds, during which they scored eight points in 20 seconds.
Indiana had eight players that scored in double figures and the Pacers’ bench outscored New York’s 43-18.
Roberto De Zerbi has left Marseille (NICOLAS TUCAT)
Coach Roberto De Zerbi has left Marseille “by mutual agreement”, the French club said early Wednesday, days after they were thrashed 5-0 by bitter rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
The 46-year-old Italian, who had been in charge since the summer of 2024, has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Marseille crashed out of the Champions League last month and were well beaten at PSG on Sunday to leave them fourth in Ligue 1.

Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi on Borussia Dortmund’s target list
Sport Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund are keen on the idea of bringing Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi on a free transfer next summer. The 28-year-old remains active with his Premier League club, but still hasn’t extended his expiring contract beyond the current campaign. The thrice-capped Argentine international maintains a current estimated market value of €22m.
We’re hitting the homestretch of the 2025-26 high school basketball season, meaning big-time matchups are coming left and right in Indiana.
On Tuesday night, Pike hosted Mt Vernon for a top-10 clash in Indianapolis. The Red Devils defended home court and picked up an 84-81 overtime win. They did so with WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark in attendance.
The Indiana Fever guard pulled up to watch two of the best teams in the Hoosier State and the matchup delivered. Clark herself will return to the court in just a couple of months when the WNBA season gets going at the end of April.
