For the first time in their history, Haas are set for a TPC session
Following a strong seventh-place finish in the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship in 2024, Haas enters 2025 with a completely new driver lineup. Esteban Ocon has joined the team after a move from Alpine, and super-sub Oliver Bearman earned a promotion to a full-time seat with Haas alongside him.
Now the team is set for another first, their first-ever Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) run this week in Spain.

It’s been a long, loooong time since Washington celebrated.
On Sunday the Washington Commanders achieved something that hadn’t happened in a long, long time: They actually won a playoff game. Ending the NFL’s longest drought, Jayden Daniels led his team to a thrilling last-second win on a doinked field goal attempt that happened to ricochet through the uprights.
It marked the first win since January 7, 2006 — when the team (then under a different nickname) hilariously also beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Eagles starting linebacker Nakobe Dean is believed to have suffered a serious knee injury in Sunday’s wild-card playoff win and is expected to miss the remainder of the playoffs.
Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury announced his latest retirement from boxing Monday, one month after losing a rematch with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

Three of the four divisional round matchups are set. Let’s preview those games and how each team can win next weekend. Here’s what to know.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown broke the internet on Sunday night. No, he didn’t haul in some spectacular catch – he actually only caught one ball during the Eagles’ win over the Green Bay Packers – but he did catch up on some light reading during the fourth quarter of the game.
And by ‘during the fourth quarter,’ we mean during the fourth quarter, as in on the bench in what was a one-score game at the time.
It turns out that Brown was reading a self-help book titled Inner Excellence.
Deion Sanders walked into the first team meeting at Colorado for the 2025 season excited about the opportunity of only being a coach for the Buffaloes next season, and not also a dad.
Now that Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders, along with Travis Hunter, are moving onto their futures in the NFL, there’s going to be a different feel around the football building at Colorado. After spending the majority of his time coaching his two kids through high school and college, Deion Sanders is now roaming the halls of the complex as just ‘coach’.

Aston Martin F1 confirmed that Felipe Drugovich will be back in 2025 as a reserve driver
Last week Aston Martin announced some senior-level changes to their Formula 1 team. Andy Cowell was introduced as the team’s CEO and Team Principal while former Team Principal Mike Krack was moved to a different trackside role, taking on the position of Chief Trackside Officer.
However, their driver lineup for the 2025 F1 season remains unchanged, with both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll back for the season ahead.
The Commanders, Texans, Ravens, Bills and Eagles all advanced to the divisional round, while we keep an eye on the NFL coaching carousel.
Former Jets head coach Robert Saleh is drawing quite a bit of interest from teams with vacant head coach jobs. The latest team: the Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars are in the hunt for new coaches this offseason.

Darnold needs to perform to avoid being franchised, or worse.
The Minnesota Vikings’ matchup with the Detroit Lions in Week 18 was the regular season Super Bowl for both teams. Home field advantage in the playoffs, the critical bye, and the NFC North title were on the line — and like so many times in the team’s past, when the lights shone brightest, Minnesota faltered.
It felt like history repeating once more, and at the center of it all was a quarterback in purple.
Five weeks, boys and girls. That’s it. Five weeks. 34 days. 840 hours. 50,400 minutes. I’d do seconds, but I Googled it and a number came up that I’d never seen before, so I’ll just stop here. You get the point.
This is crunch time, folks. While the Big J journos are trying to work in one final vacation before NASCAR returns, I’m up at 7 a.m. working my tail off for you because this column never sleeps. Never stops. No days off. No months off.
Sure, the pickins’ are slim right now in terms of topics, but whatever. That’s my problem, not yours.

The biggest game of the season might not happen in the Super Bowl.
There’s always that one game before the Super Bowl that we all wish was the Super Bowl. The contest between legendary quarterbacks, amazing teams, titans of the NFL — who just so happened to be locked in the same conference.
Normally it comes in the AFC or NFC Championship, but for the 2024 season we’re being treated to it a week early. The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are poised to give us the best game of the season, and in the Wild Card round, both teams proved why.

Cam Newton has not suited up for an NFL team since 2022. While he hasn’t officially retired from football, he’s taken the inevitable next step in doing so by diving into reality television. The 35-year-old is one of 16 competitors on ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’ on Fox and wasted no time reminding the world of his freakish athletic abilities.
During the premiere episode, Newton found himself not only having to jump from a moving boat onto the landing skid of a helicopter, but pull himself up onto the moving chopper.
The NFL’s Wild Card Weekend? It was a work of art …
…drawn by a kindergarten class. In crayon.
Thank you, Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for saving us from a complete set of disappointing games.
Otherwise, the NFL’s slate of games on Saturday and Sunday failed to deliver the kind of incredible drama the league has a reputation for routinely delivering.
One possession games, which the league brags about because it keeps interest high? Only the weekend finale on Sunday night had that.

With an awesome team already and nearly all their own assets available to upgrade it, the Orlando Magic are ready to win now.
The Orlando Magic should be on the cusp of something special. Before his oblique injury, Paolo Banchero looked like the next thing. And then before his own oblique injury, Franz Wagner looked like the next-next thing. Jalen Suggs might be the next slightly-less-important thing, and it all seems like a perfect, patient draft rebuild in the style of the now-ascendant Cleveland Cavaliers.

Where do the playoff losers go from here?
There’s still one more game left to play in the Wild Card round, but for the most part we have our divisional round matchups set. We have a titan battle between two MVP caliber QBs, and both No. 1 seeds enter the battle like Super Smash Bros. However, before we look forward to the Divisional Round, we have to look back in memory of the playoff teams lost.
For the losers, they enter an offseason where they were close, but not close enough to make it further.

Diving into the contract status of every F1 driver ahead of the 2025 F1 season
The 2024 Formula 1 season began with a bit of history for hte sport. For the first in F1 history the drivers who finished the previous season were the same drivers who began the next.
That is certainly not the case as 2025 beckons.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley’s late slide in Sunday’s playoff win over the Packers stymied bettors who wagered he would score a touchdown in the game.

Zane Gonzalez doinked the game-winning field goal off the right upright, sending the Commanders to Detroit
For the first time since the 2005 NFL season, the Washington Commanders have won a playoff game.
Jayden Daniels and the Commanders offense drove deep into field goal range late Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, setting up kicker Zane Gonzalez for a 37-yard field goal attempt to send the Commanders through to the Divisional Round.
On the snap prior to the attempt, Daniels kneeled along the left hashmark, a move that proved fortuitous.
We’ve seen several doinks in recent weeks, perhaps none louder than a game-winner by the ‘Cardiac’ Commanders.
