Pressing Cade Cunningham, OKC’s decision to go all out full-court was a bad gamble. The NBA All-Star player dumped off the ball to his fellow NBA All-Star Jalen Duren for the easy dunk. Failing to get a transition stop was the end of the short-handed squad’s at pulling off one of the biggest upsets.
The Oklahoma City Thunder couldn’t pull off the Herculean task in their 124-116 loss to the Detroit Pistons. Considering who was all out, the reigning NBA champions valiantly fought in a result you can’t get too mad over.

Thompson admitted after Wednesday’s game against the New Jersey Devils, the first NHL game for Buffalo since the Olympic break, that he was tired, rusty and sluggish on the ice. But most fans wouldn’t know it.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong apparently can’t help himself.
Crow-Armstrong turned in an outstanding 2025 season in the outfield, making his first All-Star Game and cementing his place as arguably the best defensive center fielder in the game. He’s become extremely popular in Chicago, with a hard-nosed, old-school way of playing baseball that fans love to cheer for.
One place he’s not going to be popular moving forward? Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Joe Mixon remains one of the most interesting Cincinnati Bengals players right now.
Last month, a report suggested Mixon’s career was “in doubt” due to a nagging foot injury that held him out of the 2025 season with the Houston Texans.
According to Texans general manager Nick Caserio, Mixon had surgery on his foot at the end of the year.
Around the same time, KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson reported that the Texans are expected to release Mixon this offseason.

Chris Gabehart said in a Wednesday legal filing that the lawsuit against him by former employer Joe Gibbs Racing isn’t about protecting trade secrets but instead ‘punishing a former employee for daring to leave.’
And while less seemingly less consequential on the merits of the lawsuit itself, Gabehart also revealed his reasons for leaving Joe Gibbs Racing in the first place by citing a culture of dysfunction with driver Ty Gibbs at the center of the tension.
Ty Gibbs is the grandson of team owner Joe Gibbs.
