Nike is an odd company.
The Swoosh often collaborates closely with China but is willing to criticize American society. For that, Nike has faced scrutiny, yet it still finds the time to take aim at athletes who are paying attention to the company’s shady operations.

The NHL has a pretty healthy 10-game slate on Thursday night, but believe it or not, the game that has got people talking the most is between the team in the middle of the pack in the Pacific Division and another that is currently the last place team in the entire league.

Philly shifted toward a more run-oriented, offensive line-dependent attack, and reversed its fortunes.
After being fired by the Falcons in 2020, Quinn began a transformation that has helped turn Washington around.
If the Mets reel in the big fish, they’ll operate somewhat more judiciously to fill out the roster. If they miss out on Soto, here’s how they might pivot.

When the Carolina Panthers went to Germany for their Week 10 game against the New York Giants, they brought some notable alumni with them โ including wide receiver Steve Smith and linebackers Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis. One person who didn’t get an invitation, though, is Cam Newton.
Apparently, the former All-Pro quarterback doesn’t have much of a relationship with the franchise at all.
In the most recent episode of his 4th & 1 podcast, Newton addressed his relationship with the Panthers’ organization in the years since he last played there.
Last month, OutKick exclusively reported that an Air Force Academy graduate was denied entry into a volleyball match against San Jose State, which has transgender player Blaire Fleming, unless he covered up his t-shirt that read “Keep Women’s Sports Female.”ย
Security officials told the graduate, John Kopecky (’02), that he couldn’t display the shirt during the match because it was “political” and not allowed.

The Chiefs will be without kicker Harrison Butker for at least a month. We break down the fantasy football implications.
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker suffered a left knee injury and is expected to miss upwards of a month, per Tom Pelissero. He could end up on injured reserve, but even if he does not, he will not be back until December at the earliest.
Butker entered Week 11 ranked 13th in total points. He hasnโt been his usual stellar self, but heโs been good enough to slot into lineups and ride with him all season.

It’s tough sleddin’ out there for businesses these days, and it looks like one of the latest to have some trouble is Advance Auto Parts. But this one isn’t just about economic conditions, it has to do with changing consumer habits.
And frankly, we should all be ashamed.
According to The New York Post, the company will be closing 500 stores effectively axing hundreds of jobs.

Nike and Jaylen Brownโs โchildishโ spat ends in more trolling after Giannisโ historic night.
Itโs no secret that Jaylen Brown hates Nike. The Boston Celtics star blamed shoe company politics as the reason he wasnโt selected for USA Basketballโs roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics coming off an NBA Finals MVP run. Brown has not backed off of his criticism at the start of this season, saying in a recent interview that he still wouldnโt sign an endorsement deal with Nike even if it cost him a spot on the 2028 Olympic roster.

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the eventual NBA Champion Boston Celtics in the 2024 Eastern Conference semifinals, 4-1, in what was largely a series where the Cavaliers never had a realistic shot of actually winning.
They lost Jarrett Allen for the postseason when he suffered a broken rib in Game 4 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic.

Ahead of tomorrow night’s highly anticipated Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing fight, one thing’s for certain: Nobody knows anything.
Nobody knows how a 58-year-old Mike Tyson is going to look in his first sanctioned competitive fight since 2005. Will โIron Mikeโ continue to be โIron Mike?” Iโve previously argued that you can’t take the beast out of the killer instinct that Tyson has had throughout his once-dominant career. But let’s be honest, Tyson isn’t exactly young, despite looking better than any of us will look once we reach his age.

The 2025 Ryder Cup will be unlike any of the previous 44 editions of the biennial event. Not only will Bethpage Black, the well-known public course just outside of New York City be playing host for the first time, but it is expected that members of the U.S. team will be paid for their efforts, roughly to the tune of $400,000.
With the Ryder Cup having existed for nearly 100 years based around nothing but pride, honor, and bragging rights, you can claim that throwing money into the mix puts a black eye on the event.ย

Sauce Gardner apologized on Wednesday for clapping back at fans and reporters on social media after the New York Jets’ 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
“Thatโs on me. Me being a leader of the team, of the defense, I canโt be on social media with my emotions, saying certain stuff,” Gardner said. “I know better. My coaches know that I know better. My teammates know that I know better. Iโve just got to be better. Obviously things are not going the way we expected them to go. But what I can say is Iโm going to do everything in my power to change that.
The Tampa Bay Rays will have a temporary home in 2025 after Hurricane Milton shredded the roof of Tropicana Stadium and lucky for the team and their fans, they won’t have to go too far to catch a game.
According to the Associated Press, Rays owner Stuart Steinberger said that spending the 2025 season playing home games at Tampa’s Steinbrenner Field would be the best option for the team given the circumstances.
“It is singularly the best opportunity for our fans to experience 81 games of major league Rays baseball,” he said.

As it stands on the AFC East is effectively locked up. The 8-2 Bills are five games ahead of the Dolphins, who feel like the only team with the potential to challenge them in the division.
