With his recruitment now in the rearview, Warren Central running back Keyon Thomas can focus on having a big senior season.
Thomas, a 6-foot, 205-pound senior-to-be, announced his commitment to Iowa on Wednesday, picking the Hawkeyes over Illinois and UConn. Thomas took official visits to those three schools and also had offers from several other Power Four programs.
Thomas, rated as three-star prospect and the No. 65 running back in the country by 247sports, rushed for 1,337 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. He also caught 18 passes for 184 yard and one TD.

Bradford Bulls have signed Wakefield centre Cameron Scott on a two-year deal for the 2027 season.
The 26-year-old spent time in Bradford’s academy before moving on to Hull FC.
He joined Trinity for 2025 and has scored 16 tries in 39 games for Daryl Powell’s men.
“It’s always been a dream to represent my hometown club having stood on the terraces as a young lad,” he told the club website.

According to reports from various outlets, including Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have been in discussions over a deal for teenage winger Guernier, who is also of interest to Chelsea.
So why did quarterback Brendan Sorsby decide to enter the supplemental draft? As his agent tells it, Sorsby believed Texas Tech wanted to move on from a difficult situation.
Appearing Wednesday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, agent Ron Slavin explained Sorsby’s decision to waive his remaining college football eligibility by withdrawing his lawsuit and heading to the NFL.

Brooklyn Maxey committed to Louisville before he truly got to know Kansas State.
Once he did, everything changed.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound wide receiver from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day has flipped his commitment to Kansas State following his official visit to Manhattan, ending a recruitment that steadily shifted in the Wildcats’ favor over the past few months.
Maxey was already silently committed to Louisville when he first visited Kansas State in April. Even then, the Wildcats made an immediate impression.
“It was a school that surprised me,” Maxey told Rivals.
