Before Saturday night’s game at Coors Field, Shohei Ohtani was involved in one of the coolest pregame moments we’ve ever seen.
After finishing a throwing session, the Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star was told about a woman sitting nearby in a wheelchair. So he walked over, knelt down and introduced himself.
That woman was Momoyo Nakamoto Kelley — a 100-year-old survivor of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.
Kelley, who was 19 years old when the bomb was dropped on Aug. 9, 1945, later immigrated to the United States and now lives in Salt Lake City.

Max Homa launched his golf club in frustration during the final round of the RBC Heritage on Sunday, and it was a tough scene for the six-time PGA Tour winner for more reasons than one.
Homa, who began the final round 18 shots behind leader Matt Fitzpatrick, hit a wayward teeshot and was left in a very tough position in a waste area amongst the trees at Harbour Town. After not making the contact he wanted on a punch shot in an attempt to escape the trouble, Homa chucked his iron into the ground a few yards ahead of him, with the iron ultimately making contact with a tree.

There were fireworks in the sky and hope in the air that the Toffees could close to within two points of their neighbours Liverpool.
There was also a Tifo proclaiming them as “The Originals,” a jibe at their rivals, given they were founded first.

All racing drivers dream of making it to Formula 1. They dream of a once-in-a-lifetime invitation to motorsport’s most exclusive table and, once there, emulating the greats in their quest for Champagne, championships and commendations.
What they don’t dream of is finding their way to F1, crashing out of the race metres before the first corner, and never dining at the motorsporting equivalent of the Ritz ever again. Alas, this was the fate that befell Marco Apicella, who had barely put the odometer at 800 metres before his time in F1 came to an anti-climactic end.

A team captain and two-year starter with the Tigers, Lew has been regarded as athletic and quick, and strong at the point of attack and capable of getting to the second level.
