INDIANAPOLIS – Geno Auriemma couldn’t believe what had transpired before the game. 
For most of Friday night’s first Women’s Final Four semifinal, South Carolina flat-out manhandled UConn in the paint. But instead of focusing on that, Auriemma zeroed in on something else entirely: a handshake, berating officials and a ripped jersey.
I was sitting in a hotel lobby surrounded by college basketball coaches who were in town for a convention and the men’s Final Four, and the conversation quickly turned to Auriemma’s sideline antics during the loss.

After a brace from the once again outstanding Erling Haaland, the Sky Blues lead 2-0 at half-time. The Norwegian scored the 1-0 from the spot, while the 2-0 was a pinpoint header into the far corner. 

And at 2-0, Liverpool are getting off lightly.

Stan Wawrinka has announced that he will retire from tennis at the end of this season.

The Masters Tournament is next week and that is extremely exciting for about 99.9% of the world.
There is that extra bit, though. While the “others” are not necessarily not excited, they are dealing with some stress and anxiety as they are trying to get into the tournament of all tournaments.

We had DRAMA in the world of women’s college basketball Friday night, and it centered around two of the sport’s biggest names. 
Geno Auriemma, and Dawn Staley. That’s right. Two legends. Well, really one legend (Geno), and another one that will probably get there at some point. No offense to Dawn. 
Well, OK. A little offense to Dawn. I’ve never been the biggest fan, but she’s a good coach and her teams are always stacked. But still … Geno is Geno!
Anyway, I have to say, I might be on #TeamDawn on this one, as insane as that sounds.
