MOUNT MORRIS, Pennsylvania: Charli Cannon took the lead away from Lachlan Turner as time was running off the clock when Turner cross-rutted and crashed.
Cannon struggled in Moto 1, when Taylah McCullough lost traction going up the face of the tunnel jump. Cannon rebounded to finish fifth in that race. She led led on the original start, but she quickly lost the tow on the second race won Moto 2.
Turner has been under the weather all weekend in the High Point National, but even than could not keep her from challenging for the overall win.

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) — Dylan Wu got the chance to lead off the weekend at the U.S. Open after making the cut by the skin of a 7-foot bogey putt.
His first hole Saturday did not feature the same good fortune, and by the time his third round was over, Wu could only shake his head and chuckle at himself. Teeing off and playing in swirling winds, Wu five-putted No. 1 at Shinnecock Hills for a quadruple bogey on the way to a 12-over 82.
“It was just kind of laughable,” Wu said afterward.

The SEC opponents for Alabama women’s basketball during the 2026-27 campaign has been officially revealed.
The Tide will face some of the top teams in all of women’s college basketball throughout SEC play this upcoming season. Alabama will face Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Texas A&M at home, with Ole Miss being the Tide’s only SEC opponent that they will face twice this year, both home and away. Alabama will be on the road for matchups against Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas as well.

After a uninspiring 2-2 draw with Japan in its opening World Cup match, the Dutch came out on the front foot right from kickoff. Brobbey started the attack on the opening goal by laying off a ball to Tijjani Reijnders, who then found Gakpo on the left wing. Gakpo then put a pass across the Sweden penalty box and found Brobbey to make it 1-0 after just five minutes.
