Here’s what you need to know for Year 2 of the NBA Cup.
Tennis Channel analyst Jon Wertheim has been suspended indefinitely after he was caught on a hot mic mocking a player’s appearance.
During a report on the WTA Finals match between Czechia’s Barbora Krejčíková and China’s Zheng Qinwen, Wertheim commented that the Zoom camera angle made his forehead look big. That’s when he took an unnecessary shot at Krejčíková’s face.
“Who do you think I am, Barbora Krejčíková?” Wertheim asked in the hot mic moment. “Look at the forehead when Krejcikova and Zheng take the court. Eight-head.

They say, “You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone.” And that’s how some Dallas Cowboys fans are feeling about Tony Romo right now.
After a 34-6 thumping courtesy of the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the Cowboys are in dire straits. The team sits at 3-6 with no end to their misery in sight. And to make matters worse, quarterback Dak Prescott may very well be headed toward season-ending surgery.

Ole Miss fans weren’t the only ones who enjoyed themselves after the Rebels pulled off a dominating upset win over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. One of Georgia’s own players seemed fired up after his team lost.
Ole Miss students and fans stormed the field after the 28-10 win in Oxford, and in the middle of all the chaos was Georgia safety Jake Pope, who was caught on video celebrating with a couple of Rebel fans just seconds after his team’s loss.
While it’s a tough, tough look for Pope, there is some context that needs to be shared here.

The ever-changing landscape of Major League Baseball has rendered the 300-game winner a thing of the past. .
In 2005, Detroit called up a 22-year-old pitching prospect named Justin Verlander. He made two starts, but they did not go particularly well. The next season, he started a streak of nine years in a row with at least 30 starts. In December of 2009, the Tigers traded for another pitching prospect named Max Scherzer, who had just finished his first full season in the majors.

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw five interceptions on Sunday night. And the Lions won.
As I posted on social media, I don’t know anything anymore.
The Lions’ comeback victory over the Houston Texans was the culmination of an NFL Sunday in which multiple teams – the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Lions and New Orleans Saints – won in the final seconds.
The 49ers drove for their winning field goal in the final 41 seconds.

With two events left, Joel Dahmen is close to losing his PGA Tour membership. Despite the stress, the fan favorite remains positive.
Major championships are not on the line at this point of the year, but that does not detract from the mounting pressure that dozens of PGA Tour pros face.
Two events remain on the FedEx Cup Fall, which will determine who secures PGA Tour membership for 2025 and who does not.

Deebo Samuel is brushing off Sunday’s conflict with his special teams teammates.
The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver lost his cool on his team’s sideline after kicker Jake Moody missed his third field goal attempt (3-of-6) of the day against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was obviously a rough day for Moody, as his three misses resulted in a tight game between the two teams.
But it was his miss with three minutes left in the fourth quarter that got Samuel riled up.

Race car drivers are absolutely a different breed.
It takes a special type of person to strap themselves into a rocket ship on wheels and push it to the limit, risking life and limb as dozens of other similarly-minded individuals do the same thing around you, pushing themselves to the limit in the pursuit of the checkered flag.
That means when drivers get a break from the action on the track, they might find different ways to unwind.

Micah Parsons didn’t hold back on the stakes of Dallas’ disappointing season.
Micah Parsons returned to the lineup Sunday for the Dallas Cowboys after missing several games with an ankle injury. His return could not have come at a better time, with the Cowboys hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that could fairly be described as a “must-win” contest for the Cowboys. Sitting at 3-5 entering Week 10, and looking up at the Eagles and the Washington Commanders in the division, Dallas was seeing their playoff hopes quickly fade.

The Jaguars head coach said we wouldn’t understand what happened on the play. It’s not that complicated.
After the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 12-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings where the offense turned three Sam Darnold interceptions into zero points and had the fifth-lowest yardage total in franchise history, Jags head coach Doug Pederson was asked about the final interception by his backup QB Mac Jones.
Jones finished the game 14-for-22 for 111 yards and two interceptions, making the offense look more moribund than ever before.

Here is where the San Francisco 49ers and the rest of the NFL sit in the Week 11 power rankings heading into “Monday Night Football.
Another weekend of college football has come and gone. But with a number of upsets once again around the sport, we are headed for some very interesting tiebreaker scenarios for conference title games, which will affect the college football playoff.
We once again had some pretty big upsets, with Georgia Tech beating Miami leading the way. Now, with the Hurricanes loss, SMU is atop the ACC standings, and this could determine whether the conference gets more than one team into the postseason.

The Dolphins might not know Tyreek Hill’s Week 10 availability until just before kickoff on Monday. We break down fantasy football replacement options if the injury keeps Hill out of the lineup.
The Miami Dolphins face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football to close out Week 10, and it’s unclear if wide receiver Tyreek Hill will play.
Hill is dealing with a wrist injury that he suffered during the preseason and aggravated this week.

Just like that, the 2024 automobile season is a thing of the past, and NASCAR fans – young and old! – are all in agreement this morning: Joey Logano is a worthy champion and this playoff system WORKS.
They all love it! Much like a certain president-elect, the people have spoken, and they all want Joey Logano crowned a champion for a third time. A mandate, some would say.

So, it’s official: We’ve got a simmering bromance between Nick Bosa and President-elect Donald Trump about to hit full boil.
If you are not aware, the 49ers defensive end is a big Trump supporter. No, seriously, covering his Trump support has become a cottage industry of sorts. More on that in a few paragraphs.
But Trump, you see, is usually very aware of who likes him and who doesn’t. You got to know who’s who so they can be appropriately lit up or loved on, one supposes.
And right now the President-elect is loving on Bosa.
It’s Jerry Jones‘ world, and we’re all just living in it.
AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, is known as ‘Jerry World’ given his role in designing and funding the venue ahead of its grand reveal in 2009. With Jones putting hundreds of millions of dollars into the stadium and owning the franchise, it’s understandable that he wants to have a hand in any decision that needs to be made regarding the facility.
One of those decisions is attempting to fight the sun.

We ranked eight NBA teams that need to make a move, and took our best shot at coming up with one trade each of them could pull off.
It’s fake trade season in the NBA.
It’s not actual trade season for a while. Teams don’t buy or sell when they either theoretically liked their roster going into the season or hated it but need teams to get more desperate before cleaning house. Usually, those talks don’t start happening until Dec. 15, when most of the league that was signed last offseason becomes eligible to be traded.

The only difference is that Kirk isn’t cheap.
Sunday in the Superdome was the quintessential Kirk Cousins football game. 300 yards passing, a solid completion percentage — and one L for good measure. The now 6-and-4 Falcons appear vulnerable at the top of the chaotically awful NFC South, but regardless of whether Atlanta can win the division or not it’s growing abundantly clear that this plan just isn’t going to work.

Here’s our latest 2025 NFL mock draft.
The midseason point of the NFL upon us, it’s already time to look ahead for most teams. Half of the NFL is pretty much ready to pack it in and start their scouting process for the 2025 NFL Draft.
This upcoming draft class is incredibly defense-heavy. Six of the top 10 in this mock are from the defensive side of the ball, and 17 of the players in the first round are from the defensive side of the ball.
The Miami Dolphins will play the Los Angeles Rams for a Monday Night Football game, here’s how to watch.
Seismic change is coming to the New York Jets after this disappointing season is over, as the team will be hiring a new head coach, could be looking for a new general manager, might lose quarterback Aaron Rodgers to retirement, and even owner Woody Johnson might be leaving.
If that sounds like a lot, well, it is.
You know what’s also a lot? A team saying it’s one of the NFL’s eight or so teams that can win the Super Bowl and then deliver a so far horrible 3-7 season of unmet expectations.
This celebration is true artistry.
The Minnesota Vikings are winning at a level no one could have seen coming at the start of the season. The Vikings improved to 7-2 on the young season by sneaking by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Minnesota’s 12-7 victory in Week 10 wasn’t pretty, but it kept them sitting pretty in the NFC playoff picture while also providing us with one of the best celebrations this year.

How does the 2025 NFL Draft order shape up after Week 10?
For many NFL fans, November brings dreams of a deep playoff run, and perhaps a Super Bowl title.
For other NFL fans, November is the time of year when they start checking standings of a different sort: The order for the upcoming NFL Draft.
Dan Campbell was all smiles Sunday night after the Detroit Lions beat the Houston Texans.
The Lions stormed back from a 23-7 deficit at halftime to win the game 26-23 on a field goal from Jake Bates to improve to 8-1.
It was the definition of a gritty win. It certainly looked like all hope was lost, but Detroit simply refused to quit. Little by little, the team chipped away at the lead to set up Bates’ game-winning kick.
Campbell was caught on camera watching Bates’ drill the game-winning field goal by a very narrow margin, and the head coach of the Lions had a great reaction.
