Amid sweltering conditions in London, England impressively built a score of 186-7 with Danni Wyatt-Hodge making 65 and Heather Knight 43.
That was the highest score in women’s T20s at Lord’s and England snuffed out any chance of the Windies pulling off the chase.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is feeling “positive” and is targeting a return from injury for the T20 World Cup semi-finals, says her wife the legendary former fast bowler Katherine.
Sciver-Brunt, 33, has missed England’s past two games at the T20 World Cup after a recurrence of the calf injury which ruled her out for six weeks at the start of the summer.
She will not play in England’s final group match on Saturday against New Zealand but, with England having already qualified, it is hoped she could be fit for the semi-finals.

Bosnia and Herzegovina took down Qatar 3-1 on Wednesday to finish third place in Group B. Will its next World Cup game come against the United States?
With four points over three group games, Bosnia and Herzegovina is almost assured of a spot in the knockout rounds despite a goal differential of minus-1. With 32 of the 48 teams in the World Cup advancing to the knockout rounds, eight of the 12 third-place teams will advance to the Round of 32.

Switzerland claimed the World Cup 2026 Group B crown after beating Canada 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Rubén Vargas and Johan Manzambi.
After a goalless opening 45 minutes, the Swiss scored twice in an 11-minute span to start the second half. Canada’s defense left much to be desired and will force questions for manager Jesse Marsch to answer before the knockout rounds.
Less than a minute into the second half, Vargas was left unmarked on the back side of the Canada penalty box when a cross made its way through to him.

Lega Serie A has announced the dates and bracket for the 2026/27 Coppa Italia Frecciarossa.
Inter, the reigning champions, are the number 1 seeded team: they will enter the competition at the Round of 16 and are placed in the upper half of the draw. Their potential opponents in the Round of 16 include Ascoli/Potenza, Genoa, and Catanzaro/Sudtirol. The other seeded team in the same half of the bracket is Bologna, while Como and Milan are placed in the lower half.

Boston continued to discuss Brown trades on Tuesday, two sources familiar with the talks tell Sports Illustrated. Many of the conversations were initiated by rival teams, sources say. Some were brokered by the Celtics. “They are hunting a big man,” says a rival executive. “And they are willing to trade [Brown] to get it.

Brown was upset when his name came up in trade talks in 2022, sources said back then. It would be unsurprising if he was seething now. Stevens made the point that he has stayed in regular contact with Brown’s representatives the last few days—“We certainly wanted to be as proactive and upfront with that as possible,” Stevens said—while reiterating his value to the team.
