TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Nikita Kucherov had a goal and two assists to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning over the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-1 on Tuesday night.
Anthony Cirelli scored twice in the first period, Brandon Hagel and Ryan McDonagh both had a goal and an assist. Brayden Point also scored for Tampa Bay. Andrei Vasilevskiy finished with 14 saves.
Tristan Jarry started in net for the Penguins but was pulled 16 minutes into the first period after allowing four goals on seven shots. Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 18 shots in relief. Bryan Rust scored for Pittsburgh.

Jimmy Butler III insisted his return to Miami after the Heat traded him to the Golden State Warriors was just “another game” for him. And, well, he basically played like it for the first two quarters of Tuesday night’s 112-86 defeat. 
Butler had only two points with three rebounds in the first half, shooting 1-of-6 from the floor as the Warriors trailed 57-40 at halftime. He looked for his shot more aggressively in the third quarter, scoring nine points. However, Butler finished with 11 points and six rebounds in 29 minutes.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Paolo Banchero scored 32 points, Franz Wagner had 26 points and the Orlando used a late run for a 111-104 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night.
LaMelo Ball led the Hornets with 25 points and nine assists, while Josh Green and Nick Smith Jr. had 13 points each.
Orlando’s Wendell Carter Jr. had a game-high 11 rebounds. Banchero also had seven rebounds and six assists.

In 2023, the organization caved to pressure from the far left and honored a group of offensive, anti-Christian drag nuns. The decision angered players in and out of the organization, including star pitcher Clayton Kershaw and Washington Nationals starter Trevor Williams.
