To the great credit of the National League West, four of the five teams in the division are actively trying to win. Everyone knows the Los Angeles Dodgers have spent a small, or large, fortune, to try and repeat as World Series Champions.
The San Diego Padres were one win away from the NLCS in 2024, after reaching that round in the 2022 postseason. In Phoenix, the Arizona Diamondbacks signed Corbin Burnes in the offseason, pairing him with Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly and Eduardo Rodriguez to form one of the best rotations in baseball.

It has been a very busy offseason for USC football. In addition to their surge on the recruiting trail, the Trojans have been very active in the transfer portal in an effort to upgrade their roster ahead of the 2025 season.
One of the areas where the Trojans were the most active was along the lines of scrimmage. After losing the majority of their 2024 production at both offensive and defensive line, USC went out and added several key additions on both sides of the ball.

Adia Barnes is leaving her alma mater, Arizona, for SMU in the ACC. Under new AD Damon Evans, the Mustangs are getting serious about women’s basketball.
SMU does indeed care about building a winning program in women’s college basketball.

Everyone makes mistakes at work, but I’d bet you’ve never messed up as badly at your job as the Chicago Bulls and the Portland Trail Blazers did on Friday night.
You might have had days when you sent an angry email, brought the wrong snack for a lunch social, or clocked in way too late. But the Bulls and Trail Blazers players did the equivalent of all that in just 30 seconds.
