Alijah Arenas, an 18-year-old USC basketball recruit, has been discharged from a Los Angeles hospital less than a week after a terrifying car accident that left him in a medically induced coma.
The Arenas family, including former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, announced Alijah’s release in a statement reported by the LA Times. 
“While his journey to full recovery is just beginning, his spirit remains strong, and he is surrounded by love and support,” the family said.

I’m sick of the media getting on their high horse about everything, but most recently, the prank call that Cleveland Browns fifth-maybe-fourth-string (???) QB Shedeur Sanders was victimized by as he was sliding in the 2025 NFL Draft. Let’s just agree and accept that all prank calls are rude, inconsiderate, mean, or whatever. 
Yet, is prank-calling Sanders while he is freefalling in the draft worse than a regular Joe making an hourly wage at a business? Back in my day, prank calls were hilarious, and the more important person you contacted, the funnier the prank.

It’s hard to find cooler footage than the moments after the Miracle on Ice, and part of that was because of how regular fans came onto the ice, with some of them famously draping a flag around the neck of netminder Jim Craig.
Of course, that is no bueno these days, at least here in the States, but in Sweden they’re still doing it and one club’s fans gave USA. good ol’ fashioned rink stormin’ this week after sealing a win that earned the team a promotion.

The LPGA is in Utah this week and it has been a while since that was the case.
Last week saw the LPGA Tour play its first major championship of the season in the Chevron Championship and Mao Saigo came out on top of the five-person playoff that it required.
There is no rest for the weary though and the Tour is back in action this week out at Black Desert Resort in Utah. What is notable about this is that the LPGA tour has not hosted an event in Utah in a very long time.
