On Tuesday, reports broke that local Clark County officials had expressed concern about the team’s future revenues.

As soon as the NFL announced that it had approved a new rule change for 2023 that would enable kickoff returners to call for a fair catch and allow the offense to start with the ball at the 25-yard line, the football world had plenty of strong reactions. Now, the world’s premier football league is catching flak from one of its competitors: the USFL.
The nascent league, which is currently in the second season of its current iteration, posted a strong response defending the traditional kickoff, which it views as a path to the NFL for many players.

The NFL added a new rule this week. On kickoffs, players can call for a fair catch and allow the offense to start on the 25-yard-line, just like in college football. Pat McAfee went OFF on the rule change and tried to get Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott to do the same.
But McDermott wouldn’t take the bait.
“I like the money to stay in my pocket,” McDermott said with a smirk. He’s referencing, of course, a potential league fine if he makes disparaging remarks.
It seems clear, though, that most coaches and league personnel do not like the new rule.

LeBron James’ son, USC-commit Bronny, was on the receiving end of some racist comments after he posted photos of himself and his rumored girlfriend going to prom.
Bronny’s date, Peyton Gelfuso, is white.
While most people would respond to that by saying “…and?” the many who would more than likely identify as part of the “tolerant left” were hot under the collar that Bronny wouldn’t have taken a date who was the same race as himself to the dance.
Which is a wildly racist thing to say any way you slice it.
